In Destiny, there are theories about the autumn expansion “Rise of Iron.” They revolve around the mysterious Rezyl Azzir.
When the promo image for “Rise of Iron,” the new expansion for Destiny, was revealed, the Guardians’ first reaction was: “That’s Lord Saladin with a flaming axe and wolves! Cool.”
We have already presented theories based on this assumption.

However, there is another theory that says: This is not Lord Saladin at all. This is an “Iron Lord” of the Titan class, and this is their “normal armor.” They all look like this. We have only met Saladin among the Iron Lords so far and therefore think that it’s him, but that’s not the case.
The “Iron Lords” were powerful Guardians who protected the Last City before the uncertain status quo was established, of which players in Destiny are a part. Among these “Iron Lords,” there were also serious conflicts.
In this video, Player Unknown theorizes that the Titan in the promo image is not Lord Saladin.
According to this theory, the Titan is “Rezyl Azzir,” one of the first and bravest Titans, who practiced the Chaos Fist first. Azzir is a sort of “mythological figure” within Destiny, who appears in Grimoire cards.
It could be, the YouTuber speculates, that he takes on a similar role to Eris Morn in the expansion, only not for the Hive, but for the Fallen. Then he would be a sort of “specialist” for this alien race and could serve as a central NPC for the Guardians.
There are several pieces of evidence supporting the theory:
In the past, ghost shells and Grimoire cards have provided information about what Bungie plans next. Recently, there has been a lot of attention on “Reyzl Azzir.”
Additionally, there was a strange incident shortly after the release of the April update. A user had discovered the new ghost just minutes after the patch went live and mysteriously provided tips about the future of Destiny in Latin. The user’s name? Rezyl Azzir.
The live stream next Thursday at 7:00 PM is supposed to shed light on the situation. Bungie intends to reveal the expansion then.
