In the MMO shooter Destiny, the rewards of the PvP event Trials of Osiris have been outlined. It is said to be really worth it.
Yesterday around 11:30 AM, the latest “Weekly Update” from Bungie, the developers behind Destiny, was released. There are weekly new infos and the latest Destiny news.
This time it was shorter than usual. They presented the “Festival of the Lost” (which runs until November 9) and then focused mainly on the Trials of Osiris, the weekly PvP event, which starts for the first time in Year 2 of Destiny on Friday at 6 PM. It was postponed by 2 weeks due to an exploit.
Become the Oryx of Your Opponents in Destiny
Since it will now be that teams face off against teams that have the same number of wins, the event will be significantly harder. Bungie has decided to adjust the rewards to the increased demands. Those who manage to go 9-0 and land at the Lighthouse on Mercury should receive rewards that match the light level of Raiders who defeat Oryx on Hard mode (i.e., 310 and above).
We have already introduced the changed rules for the Trials of Osiris in this article. The main changes are that you now compete against teams that have the same number of wins as you. Additionally, the loot is now primarily obtained directly from the matches. The Boons, the “Bonuses,” can only be redeemed before the first match.
Brother Vance Sells Some Rewards from the Lighthouse
Brother Vance, the Osiris vendor, is still important. He grants bounties and sells some items (including Lighthouse items) for Legendary Marks.
Since the rewards are given at the end of the matches, you can essentially claim the loot while you steamroll the opposing team. You can become the “final boss” for the enemies.
Good rewards are hopefully also available from Xur. He will arrive on Friday, October 30, this time at 10:00 AM in the Tower or the Reef.
