In the MMO shooter Destiny , the April update will be deployed today, April 12 at 7:00 PM.
Update: The patch is now available for download. We are embedding the German live stream from our friends at ProNDC, Angelus, and NexxossGaming. This way, you can experience the first minutes and hours of the April update and the incredible excitement of when the patch will finally be downloaded.

As Bungie reports, it’s scheduled for 7:00 PM this evening. Players will be removed from the current activities and brought to the title screen. There, they will need to log in again and then install the patch.
As it looks, there will be no maintenance work; the servers should not go down, but the patch will simply be downloaded.
In this trailer, Bungie summarizes everything important about the update once again.
The size of the patch is:
- On the PlayStation 4, 1718 MB.
- On the PlayStation 3, 1040 MB.
- On the Xbox One, the patch weighs 1736 MB.
- On the Xbox 360, it is the smallest, totaling 793 MB.

The patch notes for the April update are here – Nightfall Strike and Raid will be more rewarding
Update: The patch notes for the April update can be found here.
We summarize the key information that we did not have before at a glance:
- In the weekly Nightfall Strike, items with 330 Light can now drop.(The recommended light level also increases to 320).
- Additionally, in the King’s Fall Raid, the drop chances for weapons and armor have been increased – this applies to both the normal and heroic version.
- 10 weapons of the Queen will return to the Prison of Elders. You will be able to obtain 5 Fallen weapons as reputation rewards from Variks. It is likely that you will be able to apply Chroma to these 15 weapons.
- Also important: The Light increase in the Raid of Destiny has made it into the patch. This likely refers to the 335 Light in hard mode. As Bungie reports via community manager Cozmo: You can now raid without concerns. No one has to wait for a hotfix as originally announced.
