In the next hours, an update with the designation 2.3.1.1 will be released for Destiny, which addresses the BEAVER issue.
Update 8:45 PM: The update 2.3.1.1 is now available for download. It is listed as Version 1.26. It is 64 MB on PS4 and 74 MB on Xbox One.
As Bungie just announced via Twitter, a patch to address BEAVER is set to be released “today” on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, Bungie is referencing Pacific Time, which means their “today” will likely be in the middle of the night for us.
Since the update 2.3.1, the beaver has been causing problems in Destiny, preventing Guardians from playing properly. It is causing complications with NAT settings. Players are being kicked from the server and are shown the BEAVER error code.
The update 2.3.1.1, which we expect in the next few hours, will initially be released only on PS4 and Xbox One. It is supposed to “alleviate” the ongoing BEAVER problems. However, this does not sound like a final fix.
It is not specified whether the servers need to be taken offline for this. The update is also to be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 at a later date.
