In Destiny, action figures from McFarlane Toys will soon be available for purchase, and they won’t cost a fortune.
If you want to bring the Destiny universe into your living room, there are currently two options:
- Either you opt for the Mega Bloks sets, which include figures and scenes from the MMO shooter
- or you dig deep into your pockets and spend a hefty 170 euros for detailed collectible figures – which, at about 31cm in size, also make quite an impression.
In a few months, Destiny fans will also receive a third, much cheaper option to display their favorite Guardians on the mantle. McFarlane Toys announced that they will be releasing Destiny figures in the future:
Collectible Figures of Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters
The figures (Warlock, Titan, Hunter) are about 25cm tall and are expected to cost $20 each. They have the themes “Kingsfall”, “Vault of Glass”, and “Iron Banner”. According to Todd McFarlane, the CEO of the company, fans can expect a high level of detail from the figures. “Customization” will also play a role. The figures will be available for sale starting in July.
McFarlane refers to this as the “first wave”, suggesting that further figures are already planned. Possibly connected to the sequel of Destiny, “Destiny 2”.
By the way, the Destiny figures are not the first video game figures that McFarlane Toys produces. The company has already released toys themed around Mass Effect and Assassin’s Creed. They also produce collectible figures for well-known series, such as The Walking Dead.
Is this something for you? Or can you not really get into it?
If such “toys” are not for you, this year still holds the Destiny sequel, which you can look forward to. What Activision recently said about it, you can read in the provided link.
