Bungie sees the final update for Destiny “Age of Triumph” as a victory lap.
Last week, Bungie presented the final content update for Destiny. In an interview with the site Gamesradar, Community Manager DeeJ shares more details:
New worlds, new adventures are coming – but not now
- Players should view the update as “the last event, a victory lap.” The aim is to create a final event to celebrate the community for 3 years. The race is over, all foes are defeated and now the heroes face another adventure, leading them to new feats and new worlds, but for now it is time to celebrate the past – DeeJ does not say it, but with “new adventures, new worlds,” it clearly refers to the Fall sequel Destiny 2.

- The book of triumphs is meant to help heroes appreciate what they have achieved in three years. And they can show it to others.
- The revised raids should be seen by players as a kind of “Director’s Cut”. They will be different than before, but also not completely new raids.
- Regarding further details on how exactly the raids will be modified and how the “old raid weapons and armors” will fit into the picture, DeeJ remains silent. He states that the weapons and armors available there will play a role in the endgame. They will also present how the weapon balance will be adjusted when these “big guys” return.
- Bungie knows that the community is extremely looking forward to seeing the Fate-bringers again. Whether the weapons will deal elemental damage is not disclosed by DeeJ.
Tomorrow, Wednesday at 6 PM, there will be another live stream about Destiny. We at Mein MMO will accompany it with a live ticker in German. The “weekly rituals” will be highlighted. There was already a preview yesterday – the mysterious “Daybreak Strikes” still leave open questions:
