In Destiny , Guardians are scratching their heads about how to enter a mysterious room in the “Wrath of the Machine” raid that is protected by lasers.
Gradually, more and more secrets are being uncovered in the new raid of “Rise of Iron”. Some of them have already been solved, like the locations of all inactive SIVA clusters or the locations of the hidden exotic chests.
But there are still some secrets that the community has not been able to decipher. This includes a room at the end of Wrath of the Machine, where a chest is located. The problem: Deadly lasers prevent the Guardians from entering. The chest is right in front of you, but you can’t get inside (see thumbnail image). In the following video, you can see from minute 1 how to get to the room.
Many monitors in Wrath of the Machine
In total, 5 laser beams protect the room. It has already been discovered how to turn them off – at least most of them.
Right near this blocked room, there is a monitor. When you activate it, a laser beam disappears. Therefore, it is suspected that there are a total of 5 monitors to activate. And indeed: 4 monitors have already been found, and 4 laser beams have been turned off.
These monitors are very well hidden. In the embedded video above, you will be guided to all monitor locations starting at 1:45. When you are near them, you will hear a rather intrusive sound, a buzzing of the monitor, which you can hear starting at 2:13 in the video. So if you stroll through the raid and happen to hear this noise, you know that a monitor is nearby. When you activate one of them, the SIVA symbol and the number 7777 appear.
You can reach one screen after the battle against Vosik. The second is located in the jumping puzzle after Vosik. The third can be found after the encounter with the Siege Engine.
But how can the last laser be turned off?

Now we are in the realm of speculation, as no one has been able to deactivate the last laser yet. Where is the fifth monitor? Or is there even one?
There is also the suspicion that a more complicated mechanism might be behind it than just interacting with screens. Perhaps these need to be activated within a certain time in order to gain access to the room. Or is it only possible to access the chest with the start of the hard mode of the raid? The purpose of the following light room has not yet been discovered. Maybe it has something to do with the laser gate:
Note: Just a few hours ago, a Reddit user announced that he might have found the fifth monitor. So far, however, the room has not been entered. It is quite possible that we will be able to update this article soon.
What is in the hidden chest?
No Guardian knows what is hidden in the chest. The highly sought after exotic pulse rifle has already been seen in trailers. Even more highly sought after is a blueprint for this weapon, which triggers a quest, similar to the “Khvostov 7G-0X” quest.
But even that can currently only be speculated about.
