At the MMO shooter Destiny maintenance will take place on 9/14, which is this evening. Probably the servers will go down. Additionally, there is a new event from Bungie.
Tonight from 7:00 PM our time, maintenance will take place in Destiny.
No further information is available at the moment. We do not know whether a patch or an update will be deployed, nor do we know if the servers will go down and if so, for how long.
Pardon our Dust. Server maintenance will be conducted on 9/14 at 10AM PDT. You may be asked to login again upon returning to orbit.

It seems logical that (if an update comes) the patch today prepares the launch of “The Taken King” tomorrow at 11:00 AM our time. However, this should only be a relatively small download size. The real chunk was last week.
Update 18.15: Good news: Bungie has tweeted again and labeled the maintenance tonight as “short”.
Your Legend in Destiny in Video
In the meantime, you can check out Bungie’s latest idea “Check Out Your Legend.” Go to this page. There you can enter your PSN or XBOX ID. Then it takes a little while and a video that is somewhat customized for you will appear.
Your own legend, so to speak. Nice idea. It highlights the favorite exotic weapon, some achievements made by the Guardian, and in English, the legends are also assigned special titles.
And stay away from the Taken until then
By the way: There are increasing reports that the first patrol missions from “The Taken King” are already available. This will likely be a glitch. Encounters of Year 1 Guardians with Year 2 enemies … don’t exactly align with the Light, if you know what we mean.
At the moment, this video is circulating … it shows 220 Light opponents in action. There is simply nothing to be done:
If you need more reading material, here we have the new exotic weapons that The Taken King brings, and here the new Destiny armors with The Taken King.
