In Destiny the monthly event Iron Banner is live in July 2017. This will be the penultimate time it takes place. Here’s all the info on armor, weapons, quests, and the mode.
Last night the July Iron Banner started in Destiny.
The Iron Banner event will last until July 11 at 11 AM. Then the Iron Banner ends.
The game mode is Mayhem Clash.
This means: Supers are constantly flying around. Grenades and melee attacks are also significantly more frequent than usual.
The special thing about this Iron Banner is: It is the penultimate Iron Banner in the history of Destiny 1 and the last to achieve the milestone in the Age’s seal book .
The last Iron Banner in Destiny will take place in August and that will be after the deadline, August 1. What happens afterwards, “doesn’t count anymore” for the seal book.

Weapons, Armors and Quests – Is it worth it?
The Weapons
For the weapons, there’s the rocket launcher “The Titanium Orchid” with solar damage. It has the following traits
- “Grenades and Horseshoes”
- Fast Reload
- Heavy Payload
- Hard Shots
At least those are the perks recommended by YouTuber Nexxoss Gaming. He thinks it’s a decent rocket launcher for PvP.

The other weapon is the pistol “The Blinding Brand.” It deals void damage.
It has the following traits
- Zen Moment
- Adaptive Frame
- High Caliber Rounds
Nexxoss’ assessment is: He’s not personally convinced by the weapon, but pistol specialists could get a decent gun out of it.
The Armors and Quests of the July Iron Banner in Video
For the stats of the armors and which of them are T12-capable (spoiler: all), it’s best to check out this video from Nexxoss Gaming. There are also the quests.
Some players also complain about a loot bug in the July Iron Banner in Destiny. They say: They did not receive any rewards after the match, the whole group didn’t. It seems to be a display error. The loot will probably be supplied later.
Is the July Iron Banner in Destiny worth it?
Mein MMO says: It’s currently a strange time in Destiny. In the past, “T12” was the maximum of all stats, the noble high-end goal. Now Bungie throws items at players. The path to light level 400 has been trivial for a long time. Clearly, there’s not much going on in Destiny right now.
Therefore you should ask yourself: Are you up for a crazy round of Mayhem-Destiny or not?
In two weeks the beta of Destiny 2 starts. Maybe you should use this time to work on your “How do I press the Oh-Shit button fastest?”-skills. And for that, Mayhem Clash is just right.
