The developers of Destiny show new images from the upcoming DLC “House of Wolves” in a “Behind the scenes” video.
When the Live stream for “Prison of Elders” started yesterday, the floodgates opened across the internet. Videos and articles were published that journalists and YouTubers had been preparing long before, but had to hold back until the scheduled time.
One of these videos is a promo video for the Playstation. The developers showcase the individual features and activities in “House of Wolves.” There is nothing new in terms of information that we haven’t learned in the past weeks or last night, but it looks cool and there are a lot of new images to admire: You can see the bosses from “Prison of Elders,” the new strike boss Tariks, and many other fine details from this new, still unknown world.
What about the exclusivity for Playstation?
One interesting detail to note: For the new Playstation-exclusive PvP map Timekeeper, it states in the footnote “exclusive until at least autumn 2015.” This could mean that ALL Playstation-exclusive features will be unlocked for Xbox players at the same time. And this one year after the release of the base game. This would then be independent of when the individual items, strikes, and PvP maps were introduced to the game. So, perhaps not only the contents released in September 2014 will be available in autumn 2015 but also those from the DLCs Darkness Awaits and House of Wolves.
That would include Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo, The 4th Horseman, two strikes, and two PvP maps.
But, well, there is also a “at least until” statement. The worst could still be yet to come.
Also interesting: In the video, no “additional Playstation-exclusive” exotic item is mentioned. If one were to be included with the new expansion, it would have been clearly stated here. There are no hints on the Playstation promo page. There is also no Playstation-exclusive strike. Only the Crucible map Timekeeper.
