In Destiny, a fan created a video that translates the idea of Pokémon GO into Bungie’s MMO shooter.
As Guardians, you have the noble task of facing nefarious enemies daily, pushing back the darkness, and becoming a legend in the process. Until now, this experience has been limited to consoles. While many users have long been calling for a PC version of Destiny, the YouTuber Icarus came up with the idea of bringing the shooter into the real world: Pokémon GO sends greetings.
Unfortunately, such an app is merely wishful thinking and is not in development, but the trailer is already available. See for yourself:
Like Pokémon GO, but without Pokémon
The idea is that you should venture out into the real world, where patrol missions await you at various locations. You are to patrol your neighborhood, earn reputation points, and gain loot after successful battles with enemies.
All your achievements can then be transferred to the main game on your console.
By the way: This game is not being created by Niantic and Nintendo, but rather by “Titanic and Bungie.” The user certainly put some thought into that.
With this video, the fan hopes to make it to the videos of the week. The trailer is definitely worth watching. He emphasizes that he put a lot of work into it.
What do you think of this idea? In the comments and on reddit, people are mostly excited about it. Some also write that they feel down since this was not an official trailer from Bungie. Others say that while they don’t care much for Pokémon GO, they are heavily into it. Would you get the app?
