We present the legendary shotgun Stolen Will in the MMO shooter Destiny.
The Stolen Will is a shotgun that is highly coveted among many Guardians, not least because of its striking Taken design. Some users consider it one of the most beautiful weapons in the game. But can this sexy shotgun also perform in practice?
You can obtain the Stolen Will as a reward in the heroic Archon Priest Strike on Venus. However, you only have a chance at the weapon if you complete the Taken version of the Winter’s End Strike. The Stolen Will drops randomly as a “legendary engram” from the defeated priest.
What makes Stolen Will special in Destiny
The Stolen Will belongs to shotguns with a high rate of fire and low impact. The reload speed is excellent. Here are the specific stats:

Stolen Will can drop with Solar, Arc, or Void damage and comes with exclusively random perks. Highly recommended is Field Prep, which increases the weapon’s effectiveness. Generally, perks that compensate for the low range are useful. Keep an eye out for them.
Is Stolen Will worth it in PvE and PvP?
The Stolen Will is worth it for many Guardians, not least because of the Taken appearance, which definitely stands out and fits well with the “Dreadnaught Armor”. In PvE, it is praised by Guardians: thanks to the high rate of fire, you can effectively deal with both small enemies and big bosses. Since you don’t have to reload the weapon for long, you can quickly engage again.
In PvP, however, opinions about the Stolen Will differ. Some Guardians report that it is a lot of fun to run through the Crucible with it. It feels really good in the hand – the Taken style certainly contributes to that.
However, many users prefer shotguns with higher impact in PvP, like Partycrasher +1, so the Stolen Will may not be their first choice in the Crucible. Also, due to its low range, you will often come up short against other Guardians unless you can enhance it with appropriate perks.
Based solely on its stats, the shotgun Stolen Will is definitely not a new “overpowered weapon”, but it gains bonus points among Guardians due to its sexy appearance. If you want to roam the Destiny universe with it, you should primarily engage in PvE activities.
What do you think of the shotgun Stolen Will? Do you already own it?
