We are taking a look at Destiny and a method on how you can efficiently farm “Grasp of Malok” this week.
Yesterday, update 2.3.0 went live – after a somewhat bumpy start. In addition to numerous changes to weapons and the Hunter class, it also brought a big surprise: Omnigul is back as a Nightfall strike this week.
Many Guardians are now sounding the alarm: Because the Grasp of Malok, the exclusive weapon from the “Will of Crota” strike, can now be dropped by Omnigul with an increased chance. The drop chances for strike-exclusive items are significantly higher in the Nightfall.
“Grasp of Malok” farming method in the Omnigul Nightfall
Our friend Nexxoss Gaming shows you a farming method on how you can efficiently obtain this coveted pulse rifle. Since this week the Nightfall strike is modified with solar ignitions, you need to adjust your weapons and focuses accordingly.
As weapons, the YouTuber recommends the exotic solar sword Recluse. Additionally, you can equip a solar shotgun in your secondary slot, as special weapons are also favored this week.
However, the important part of this farming method is the setup of your Guardians. While one player chooses the Hunter with Shadowshot to be able to “bind” Omnigul, another player should create the following Hunter focus:
- The focus Gunslinger comes with the super “Golden Gun”, which is enhanced by solar ignitions.
- Focus on the focus node Grail, which increases the precision and damage of the Golden Gun. Nexxoss also recommends Out of the Horizon, which increases the range of the super.
- Additionally, select the exotic helmet “Celestial Night Hawk”, which causes a shot from the Golden Gun to deal 6 times the damage. This way, you can significantly reduce Omnigul’s health, which is fruitful for this farming method.
When you first encounter Omnigul in the strike, shoot a Shadowshot at her, unleash your Golden Gun, and otherwise whack away with the solar sword. She should die within a few seconds, dropping the Grasp of Malok with a bit of luck.
Now you can have yourself die and hunt the witch again from the last checkpoint. Make sure you produce and collect many Light Spheres during this time, so your super is always ready.
Nexxoss managed to secure 15 “Maloks” in this manner within 3-4 hours. The chance to obtain this pulse rifle with strong perks in a short time is high.
You can see the farming method in action in the video below. Here you can also see how quickly you can finish Omnigul using this method:
