Which perks are useful in the Crucible?
In this section, we show you which perks are particularly useful for the Crucible. The perks are divided into four columns:
- Column – determines the scope properties of the rifle
- Column – First unlockable main perk
- Column – Auxiliary perk that improves certain properties
- Column – Second unlockable main perk
Column 1 – Scope Properties
In Column 1, look out for the following perks when reshaping:
| Property | Zoom | Range | Stability | Aim Assist | Reload |
| Red Dot-OAS | x0.2 | — | +14 | — | — |
| Red Dot-ORES | x0.3 | +6 | +9 | +4 | +4 |
| Red Dot-OES | x0.2 | +2 | +12 | — | — |
All three variants are helpful. For maximum stability, choose the Red Dot-OAS. All other scopes available in Column 1 are not recommended.
Column 2 – Main Perk
In Column 2, look out for the following perks:
Hidden Hand – This weapon improves target acquisition
Spray and Play – Increases reload speed when the magazine is empty
Munchies – Kills with this weapon temporarily increase reload speed
Hip Fire – This weapon has additional precision when firing from the hip
Column 3 – Auxiliary Perk
The following auxiliary perks in Column 3 are interesting when reshaping:
Accelerated Coils – Reduces charge time but causes slightly lower damage
Reinforced Frame – Increased stability, reduced magazine size
Yes, the perk accelerated coils does lower damage per shot. Unfortunately, this is not apparent in-game. Whether this is a bug or intended is unknown. The damage reduction is about 10%.
Column 4 – Second Main Perk
And finally, the best perks for the Column 4:
Targeting Adjuster – Aiming with this weapon increases the damage range
One-Man Army – Kills without assistance with this weapon reduce your grenade and melee cooldown
Targeting Adjuster is the best perk, no doubt about it. If you cannot or do not want to spend thousands of weapon parts to get the best combination, One-Man Army is an option.
And on the next page, there is the recipe for the “ultimate fusion rifle.”
