Aim assist? What is that supposed to be? Another proof from Bungie that they don’t want to hold the players’ hands and explain certain game mechanics. Aim assist is a hidden stat that cannot be seen anywhere in the game.
Aim assist indicates how strongly a projectile is pulled toward the hitbox of the opponent. Even if you are not aiming directly at the hitbox, the bullets will still hit the enemy at a high aim assist. The hidden hand perk improves aim assist.
A small digression: The only two weapons with the maximum value of 100 in terms of aim assist are the auto rifle Hard Light and the Vex Mythoclast.
