In Destiny, the weekly reset takes place today, on August 16th. Guardians are provided with fresh challenges.
Today, Bungie’s MMO shooter has a lot to offer: At 11 AM, the weekly reset occurs, from 6 PM, maintenance will take place, at 7 PM a livestream about the new Crucible will begin, and around 9 PM, after the server downtime, the Iron Banner starts. You won’t miss any of it with us.
On top of that, Bungie is making a significant cut today: The PS3 and Xbox 360 will henceforth be considered “legacy consoles,” which will no longer receive new content, events, or major updates. Nightfall Strike in Destiny as of August 16 leads against the Shield Brothers
As of August 16, you must fly to the Grave Ship and defeat the Cabal Brothers.
The modifiers this week are:
- Epic
- Fresh Troops: Some enemy units arrive with reinforcements.
- Puzzle Game: Enemy shields are resistant to unequal elemental damage.
- Aerial Assault: You deal more damage while in the air.
- Catapult: The grenade recharge rate is significantly increased.
In the heroic strike playlist, the modifiers are Heroic, Void Burn, Fresh Troops, and Catapult.

What awaits in the Challenge of Elders?
This week, you accumulate bonus points in the Prison through precise kills. The modifiers are Juggler and Specialist.
You fight against Keksis, the Betrayed, the Revolting Spirit, and Noru’usk, Servant of Oryx.
