In Destiny, a Guardian has managed to solo Oryx in the King’s Fall raid – and in Hard Mode! This masterpiece has been left for posterity on YouTube.
The YouTuber Esoterickk has apparently achieved the first Oryx solo kill in Hard Mode. His most important tool for this feat was the Sleeper Simulant fusion rifle at Light Level 335, with which he was able to bring Oryx to his knees. Before the April update, no one had accomplished this notable achievement.
Warlock solos Oryx
The Guardian played the run with a Sunbreaker Warlock, which allowed him to revive himself – and he had to do so multiple times. Besides the Sleeper Simulant, he needed double fusion grenades and, above all, one thing: speed. The ogres must be dealt with quickly, and the knights spawn faster than in Normal Mode. The YouTuber clearly had no time to waste.
See for yourself:
According to the YouTuber, these are the requirements to replicate this feat:
- Sleeper Simulant with 335 Light.
- Warlock with 333-335 Light.
- Voidwalker with 333-335 Light and the perk Triple (if rapidly precision hits are achieved, one round is returned to the magazine).
- The chest piece Starfire Protocol (for an additional fusion grenade and more ammunition for special weapons. Managing ammunition in the solo run is also a challenge).
- Leg armor that increases sniper ammo.
- Gauntlets that increase the reload speed of snipers.
Esoterickk emphasizes that this task was a tricky challenge for him. He “worked” on it for about 20-25 hours until he achieved the solo kill. The difference compared to Normal Mode is definitely enormous.
Is it now the time when Oryx is soloed in every conceivable way? His son Crota could already tell a tale about it. Here, Crota is danced to death by a Guardian.
What do you think of this achievement? Are you already planning to pay Oryx a visit soon and follow in the YouTuber’s footsteps?
