In the MMO shooter Destiny there is a new raid challenge today on February 9th, the Nightfall strike, and a patch.
Start right away or wait for the update this evening?
Some warn: Don’t start anything before 7:00 PM today. Don’t do a raid or a Nightfall strike; maybe Bungie will change more in Destiny with the patch tonight than we think. Recently, there have been some reports that drops are too weak, maybe something will be fixed there.
However, this is currently a “might be”, not a “is.” But those who want to play it safe might hold their Guardian until after the patch.
The patch this evening is “almost” a pure PvP patch, they want to fix a few things in the raid, but otherwise, nothing is actually intended for PvE, so it is up to you whether you start right away or wait for the update and hope that some surprises are hidden in the patch notes – a bit more than emotes and chocolate ghosts.
Most PvE players are eagerly looking forward to next Thursday. Maybe Bungie will finally reveal what’s planned next. It is well overdue.

- Juggler – No ammo drops for the weapon you have when enemies die
- Ironclad – Enemies have increased shields
