In the MMO shooter Destiny a new week begins with Nightfall strike and raid challenge.
At 11:00 AM today, something ends: the Iron Banner and the Trials of Osiris. But something else begins: the new week in Destiny.

Currently, there are no major features, and nothing exciting has been announced. May is over, the live streams have ended, and everyone is waiting for E3 in Los Angeles. It’s expected that at the Sony conference, Bungie will present the next expansion. But they are still so tight-lipped that they haven’t even officially confirmed that.
This week’s Nightfall strike is the Sunless Cell
The Sunless Cell is up. You can again acquire coveted strike-exclusive items.
Modifiers are:
- Berzerker – Enemies are relentless and do not retreat
- Sidearms – Primary weapons are preferred
- Flayer – Guardians’ radar is obscured.
- Aerial – Guardians deal more damage while in the air
The combo “Sunless Cell” and “No Radar” has a bit of a blind man’s buff feel.
These collectible items are wanted by the faction vendors in the week of May 31 to June 7.
- The Dead Orbit is looking for Ghost Flowers.
- The New Monarchy craves Relic Iron.
- The Future War Cult also wants Relic Iron.
This is what awaits Guardians in the Elders’ Challenge
Flayer is a modifier – so no radar. Additionally, “Specialist” is active, special weapons are preferred as a weapon type.
Bonus points are available this week for super kills.

The enemies are “Seditious Mind” (Vex), Kelksis (Fallen), and Val Aru’un (Cabal).
Papa Oryx issues the raid challenge
Oryx is the one this week who is taking a big risk and issuing the raid challenge. Defeat me in a specific way and I’ll drop extra loot.
How to get the bonus loot and make Oryx go up in smoke, you can read here.
Oryx’s illegitimate son Thalnok waits in Oryx’s court
In the tier of Oryx’s court, Thalnok is up, who would like to replace Crota and therefore copies his abilities.
This week’s challenges in the video guide
If you need inspiration or help for this week’s activities, we might have what you need.
Here’s a solo run through the Nightfall strike by our friend Nexxoss.
This is how you defeat Oryx in Challenge Mode.
If Thalnok really wants to be like Crota, then he should meet the same end …
