With the upcoming April update, twelve legendary weapons from the first year of Destiny will make their way into the second year. Let’s take a look.
Bungie’s MMO shooter April update is approaching quickly, and the highlight will be the re-release of the Prison of Elders. We have already introduced the 14 exotics that will return in Destiny with the update; now we want to shift our focus to the legendary weapons.
How to Obtain the 12 “new” legendary weapons in Destiny
A total of twelve “classic” legendary weapons will be welcomed into the club of those which can now reach the new maximum attack values starting April 12 at 335.
It is not possible to infuse the old versions of the weapons, which are likely collecting dust in the vault of some players, to the maximum value. You will have to hunt for the upgraded versions.
You will receive them through Vanguard and Crucible reward packages with a light level up to 330: As you increase your reputation and reach a new rank, the otherwise stingy allies in the tower will release these reward packages.
Note: These newly upgraded legendary weapons cannot come from legendary engrams, but only from the reward packages. If you want to get them, you need to be on good terms with Zavala and Lord Shaxx.
On the following pages, we will look at the legendary weapons that will be upgraded in the April update. Since there are currently no new entries in the database for the Year 2 versions, we will see what made these weapons significant in the first year of Destiny and what role they can play in 2016. What changes they will experience in Year 2 remains to be seen.
