The primary weapon that dominates everything else in PvE and has the most kills by far is neither an auto rifle nor a scout rifle, but an exotic pulse rifle: Outbreak Perfected.

The Outbreak Perfected is from the iron sight archetype with an impact of 7 and a rate of fire of 73. The range and reload speed are solid, but the stability is significantly below average:

The Outbreak Perfected is linked to an extensive quest related to the “Wrath of the Machine” raid. At the end of September, the mystery surrounding this exotic weapon was solved after Guardians had puzzled over monitors and strange hints from Bungie for days.

With update 2.5.0.2, the dominating, rapid-fire pulse rifles were significantly nerfed, which pushed the Outbreak Perfected archetype to the forefront. However, this weapon had already excelled in PvE in the months before due to its unique perks.

Thanks to Virulence, precise kills unleash a swarm of SIVA nanites that attack enemies. With “The Corruption Spreads”, enemies that are repeatedly hit by the weapon release SIVA nanites that attack other enemies. Fallen take additional damage.

In short: An excellent weapon for PvE that originated from the designs of a community weapon called “Price of Exile” .
