The weekend is just around the corner and with it the good Xur from Destiny 2. What goods he brings this time and whether a visit to him on Friday the 13th is worth it, you can find out here at MeinMMO.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? After it was particularly lazy in the Iron Banner of Destiny 2, the Guardians are now fired up again for the seasonal story. Rasputin wants to withdraw from the fight and so it is important to continue gathering Submind data from his war spirits and to wait for Osiris to unearth information about his vision of the Nephilim fortress on Neptune.
For all new players, there was also probably the best news from Bungie, as they announced that mods are now available to all Guardians. Thus Destiny 2 bid farewell to one of the most annoying RNG systems for new Guardians that had restricted their potential for far too long.
For the fun of the week, Bungie came up with a test featuring a naked, pink man. A quirky image that some Guardians will now not be able to shake off while petting the new Robo-dog in Destiny 2.
If you are a lover of fast technology and enjoy playing Destiny 2 with good hardware, then beware. This could also be the reason why you seem to die first every time. MeinMMO shows you in a test how hard it hits you then.

All info about Xur on January 13, 2023 – PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia
When does Xur come? The merchant appears promptly at 6:00 PM on a planet of his choice. He spends several days there until he disappears again at the next weekly reset, on January 17.
Where is Xur? This is his camp for the weekend
The position of Xur: Xur uses mysterious routes, which is why no Guardian knows where he will land before 6 PM. However, MeinMMO knows his habits and locks onto him for you.
Check the map if you can’t find him there immediately.

In February 2023, Destiny 2 will receive another major DLC with “Lightfall.” It was already one of the highlights at the Game Awards 2022:

Trials of Osiris from January 13 to 17 – Map, Weapons and Info
In the “This Week at Bungie” blog, Destiny 2 had good news regarding weapon focusing. From now on, you won’t have to dig so deep into your pocket for Legendary Shards.
- The focusing costs for all weapons and armor from Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, Crucible, and Gambit will be reduced from 50 to 25 Legendary Shards.
- The costs for focusing Master weapons will be reduced from 250 to 50.
What are the Trials in Destiny 2? The Trials of Osiris is an endgame PvP activity and takes place every weekend. There is only one exception, and that is when the Iron Banner event is active. Just like last week. Bungie will once again open the inventory of the 14th Saint with fresh Trials Passes and loot for you to increase your glory in the PvP endgame.
Which map is up this week? Unlike normal PvP, where the maps rotate, there is only one fixed map on which you play in Guardian versus Guardian endgame every weekend.
If you are interested in playing the Trials in a fixed team, MeinMMO recommends the Callout Maps over Warmind. This way, you can effectively describe to your fireteam where the enemies are currently located on the map, which provides useful information for the entire team.
This is how you get your loot: The Trials of Osiris feature a reputation rank system. Your top loot reward from the PvP matches is currently available for:
- Seven victories
- 50 rounds
- as well as the infamous flawless run that takes you to the Lighthouse
This is the reward for a flawless run: Every week you can expect a special weapon at the Lighthouse, which you receive for your flawless run, so 7 victories, as a Master version. You can earn the weapon until next Tuesday, January 17, at 6 PM.
The reward always includes an Adept weapon when you successfully reach the Lighthouse.
All trial weapons have a Trials origin perk: “Speedy Reload” – Improves reload speed, stability, aim assistance, and range when you are the last living member of your fireteam or fighting alone.
Your trial engrams can be focused on your desired weapon at the 14th Saint. Additionally, you receive enhancement prisms and ascendant shards. Remember, your reward increases even more once you have a full pass – even if you lost one or two games.
When do the Trials officially start? The Trials of Osiris begin today, January 13, 2023, at 6 PM and end with the weekly reset on January 17, 2023, at 6 PM.
What do you think of the developments this week? Did you like the change with the mods? And what would you absolutely wish for in Xur’s offer? Let us know in the comments.
