As every Friday in Destiny 2, Xur is back today. Where is the Agent of the Nine and what items does he have on offer? Here are the location and inventory on August 24.
You have another chance at Whisper of the Worm: The anomaly on IO is back. This leads the Guardians to the time-critical mission Whisper, at the end of which the exotic sniper rifle Whisper of the Worm awaits as a reward upon successful completion.
Players who have not yet managed to obtain the new exotic sniper now have another chance over the weekend. From 7:00 PM, the hunt for the Whisper of the Worm and its catalyst is reopened. You have until next Monday at 7:00 PM to secure this coveted firearm. Then the anomaly will disappear again until the following weekend.
Double Valor Points over the weekend: From August 24 at 7:00 PM, there will be double the amount of valor points in Crucible matches – this is the last time before the launch of the Forsaken expansion.
For everyone who still wants to reset their valor rank for their Sonnenwende armor , this bonus could prove useful on the final stretch of the Sonnenwende event.

When does Xur arrive?
Xur visits us every Friday at 7 PM. He then chooses a quiet place on a planet or moon of his choice, from where he can unobtrusively deliver his goods to the Guardians. You have until the next weekly reset on Tuesday to browse his inventory – then he vanishes without a trace.

Xur has certain locations where he likes to settle over the weekend. This time he is setting up shop on Titan.

- Weapon: Risky – submachine gun for 29 legendary shards
- Hunter: Ophidia Spatha – chest armor for 23 legendary shards

Xur also has the challenge card “Five of Swords” with him. This card is free. This will upgrade your rare Nightfall challenge card to a legendary challenge card. This way, you can activate one scorch modifier, one advantage/disadvantage and two additional disadvantages.

Trials of the Nine on August 24
The weekly PvP event Trials of the Nine also starts on Friday evening at 7 PM. The Trials end with the weekly reset on the following Tuesday evening at 7 PM.

After the release of the Warmind expansion, new rewards can be earned in the Trials of the Nine.
There are three new weapons:
- The kinetic submachine gun “Cease and Desist”
- The energy scout rifle “Threat of Coercion”
- The shotgun “Request for Reconsideration”
There is also a new ghost shell, a new sparrow, a new ship, and a new shader. However, there are no new armor ornaments for the Trials sets in Season 3.
By the way: The Trials of the Nine go on compulsory leave for the entire Season 4 and will be revamped.
