In Destiny 2, the weekend begins and everyone knows what that means: Xur-Time. Guardians will once again see the Tentacle face and be presented with wondrous goods from his black cloak. We show you what to expect this time.
What happened this week in Destiny 2? Guardians are complaining about the grind in the loot shooter. Players say their time is not respected, and that the inflation has now found a place even in the Vanguard’s banks.
Bungie is providing insights into changes to skill-based matchmaking, short SBMM. With its introduction in the “Control” mode, matches are supposed to be more balanced again and ensure that newcomers have a chance at victory. You can find all the important information about the changes here.

When does Xur come? The most famous vendor from Destiny 2 currently starts his sale every Friday at 7:00 PM. Anyone who brings him a few Legendary Shards and other materials to trade can choose something from him.

What does Xur have available? For all Guardians who do not know Xur yet: He is an Exotic vendor of the “Nine”, a mysterious group in Destiny 2, and delivers weekly new weapons and armor to the players on their behalf. All characters, including Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans, can shop with him.

Xur also sells Legendary items and offers unique rolls for Exotics from no longer available exotic missions from past DLCs each week.
Currently, he has these two weapons available:
- The exotic Hand Cannon “Falcon’s Moon” with the perk “Trackser”
- The exotic Scout Rifle “Tale of a Dead Man” with the perk “Vorpal Weapon”
The cost of the weapons: For these two Exotics, the cost is 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Code, 125,000 Glimmer, and 200 Legendary Shards.
What Xur always has with him: You can always get an Exotic Engram for 97 Legendary Shards from Xur, as well as the weekly quest to receive an Exotic Code.

Trials of Osiris from July 29 – August 2 – Map, Weapons, and Info
Which map is up this week? Every weekend you play only on a specified map. As the community was allowed to choose the new map for Trials rotation this week, you can test it out as well. The majority has chosen the map “Eternity”.
If you are interested in playing the Trials in a team, MeinMMO recommends the Callout Maps over Warmind. This way, you can effectively describe to your fireteam where enemies are currently located on the map, which is useful information for the entire team.
This is how you get your loot: The Trials of Osiris have a reputation rank system. Your top loot reward from PvP matches is currently available for:
- Seven wins
- 50 rounds
- as well as the infamous flawless run that takes you to the Lighthouse
This is the reward for a flawless run: Every week you can expect a special weapon at the Lighthouse, which you will receive as a master version for your flawless run, i.e., 7 wins. This time, the new Stasis Sidearm “Forgiveness” is on offer. We will update you with this info once it is known. You can earn the weapon until the coming Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
All Trials weapons have a Trials origin perk: “Speedloader” – Improves reload speed, stability, aim assist, and range when you are the last remaining member of your fireteam or fighting alone.
If you have obtained your desired weapon, you can focus your Trials Engrams at the 14th Saint on your desired weapon. Additionally, you receive enhancement prisms and ascendant shards. Keep in mind that your rewards increase even further once you have a complete pass – even if you lost one or two games.
When do the Trials start? The Trials (Trials of Osiris) start this Friday at the daily reset at 7:00 PM.
