As every Friday in Destiny 2, Xur is back today. Where is the Agent of the Nine and what items does he have on offer? Here are the location and inventory on August 10.
The hunt for Whisper of the Worm continues: The anomaly on IO is back. This leads the Guardians to the time-sensitive mission Whisper, at the end of which, upon successful completion, the exotic sniper rifle Whisper of the Worm is waiting as a reward.
Players who have not yet managed to obtain the new exotic sniper now have another chance this weekend. Starting at 7:00 PM, the hunt for the Whisper of the Worm and its catalyst is back on. You have until next Monday at 7:00 PM to secure the coveted weapon. Then the anomaly will disappear again until the following weekend.
Double Valor Points in the Crucible: Since today, August 10, at 7:00 PM, there will be double Valor points in the Crucible for one week until August 17. For anyone who still needs to reset their Valor rank for their Solstice Armor, this bonus is more than welcome.
Crucible Labs are back live: The Crucible Labs are back – again with Showdown. The mode has now been adjusted compared to its first appearance based on player feedback. Here’s what has changed:
- The round time has been reduced to 90 seconds
- Rounds now have a point limit of 10
- Revives are now enabled
- If you revive a teammate before they respawn, you deny the enemy a point

When does Xur come?
Xur visits us every Friday at 7 PM. He chooses a quiet spot on a planet or moon of his choice from where he can deliver his goods undisturbed to the Guardians. You have until the next Weekly Reset on Tuesday to browse his inventory – then he will disappear again without a trace.

Xur has certain positions where he likes to settle down over the weekend. This time he is setting up his stand in the Tower Hangar on Earth.

Xur also has the challenge card “Five of Swords” with him. This card is free. It upgrades your rare Nightfall challenge card to a legendary challenge card. This allows you to activate a Scorch modifier, one advantage/disadvantage, and two additional disadvantages.

Trials of the Nine on August 10
The weekly PvP event Trials of the Nine will also start on Friday evening at 7 PM. The Trials will end with the Weekly Reset on the following Tuesday evening at 7 PM.

After the release of the Warmind expansion, new rewards can be earned in the Trials of the Nine.
There are three new weapons:
- The Kinetic Submachine Gun “Cease and Desist”
- The Energy Scout Rifle “Compel”
- The Shotgun “Abolish”
Additionally, there is a new Ghost shell, a new Sparrow, a new ship, and a new shader. However, there are no new armor ornaments for the Trials sets in Season 3.
By the way: The Trials of the Nine will go on enforced leave for the entire Season 4 and will be overhauled.
