The hunt for Whisper of the Worm is reopened: The anomaly on IO is back. This leads the Guardians to the time-sensitive mission Whisper, where successful completion rewards the exotic sniper rifle Whisper of the Worm.
Players who haven’t managed to get the new exotic sniper yet now have the chance again this weekend. Starting at 7 PM, the hunt for the Whisper of the Worm and its catalyst is reopened. You have until next Monday at 7 PM to secure this coveted weapon. Then the anomaly will disappear until the following weekend.
The Solstice of Heroes has begun: Since last Tuesday, the seasonal event Solstice of Heroes is active. With this celebration, Bungie wraps up the first year of Destiny 2, before the Forsaken expansion kicks off the second year on September 4th.

The Moments of Triumph continue: The Triumph moments from year 1 can now also be completed. Some Triumphs only became active with the start of the Solstice of Heroes.

When does Xur come?
Xur visits us every Friday at 7 PM. He then chooses a quiet place on a planet or moon of his choice, from where he can deliver his goods to the Guardians undisturbed. You have until the next weekly reset on Tuesday to browse through his inventory – then he disappears without a trace.
Where is Xur? At this location, he can be found today
Xur has certain positions where he likes to settle down over the weekend. This time he is setting up his shop on Nessus.
Xur’s Offer and Inventory
- Weapon: Skyburner’s Oath – Scout rifle for 29 Legendary Shards
- Hunter: The Dragon’s Shadow – Chest armor for 23 Legendary Shards
- Titan: Heart of Inmost Light – Chest armor for 23 Legendary Shards
- Warlock: Blood-Alchemy – Chest armor for 23 Legendary Shards
- Fate Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
- Three of Coins: 31 Legendary Shards
Xur also has the challenge card “Five of Swords” with him. This card is free. With this, your rare Nightfall challenge card is upgraded to a legendary challenge card. So you can activate a burn modifier, an advantage/disadvantage, and two additional disadvantages.

Trials of the Nine on August 3rd
The weekly PvP event Trials of the Nine starts on Friday evening at 7 PM. The Trials end with the weekly reset the following Tuesday evening at 7 PM.
- Map: Endless Shore
- Mode: Survival
After the release of the Warmind expansion, new rewards can be earned in the Trials of the Nine.
There are three new weapons:
- The Kinetic Sidearm “Request for Injunction”
- The Energy Scout Rifle “Request for Compulsion”
- The Shotgun “Request for Appeal”
In addition, there is a new ghost shell, a new sparrow, a new ship, and a new shader. However, there are no new armor ornaments for the Trials sets in Season 3.
