Alongside the Forsaken expansion, this week is dominated by the second faction rally of Season 3. Guardians continue their hunt for armor ornaments and the coveted masterwork catalysts or are already grinding for the next one. By the way: Although it’s still a long way off, Guardians who won’t be able to get all three exotic masterwork catalysts during Season 3 due to time constraints don’t have to worry: The faction-specific catalysts will be available beyond Season 3.

When does Xur arrive?
Xur visits us every Friday at 7 p.m. He then selects a quiet spot on a planet or moon of his choice, from where he can unobtrusively bring his goods to the Guardians. You have time until the next weekly reset on Tuesday to browse his inventory – then he disappears again without a trace.

Xur has certain positions where he likes to settle down for the weekend. This time, he sets up his stand in the wilderness of Nessus.

Xur also has the challenge card “Five of Swords.” This card is free. It upgrades your rare Nightfall challenge card to a legendary challenge card. This way, you can activate a scorching modifier, an advantage/disadvantage, and two additional disadvantages.

Trials of the Nine on June 29
The weekly PvP event Trials of the Nine also starts on Friday evening at 7 p.m. The Trials end with the weekly reset on the following Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

After the release of the Warmind expansion, new rewards can be earned in the Trials of the Nine.
There are three new weapons:
- The kinetic submachine gun “Cease and Desist”
- The energy scout rifle “Demanding Behavior”
- The shotgun “Opposition”
Additionally, there is a new Ghost shell, a new Sparrow, a new ship, and a new shader. However, there are no new armor ornaments for the Trials sets in Season 3.
By the way: With the next update 1.2.3 on July 17, 9 more reworked armor exotics will come into play. Until then, you have the chance to complete your exotic collection at Xur if you are missing some examples.
