In Destiny 2 today, on July 16th, the Weekly Reset is happening. For the Guardians, there are fresh weekly activities and challenges again. Additionally, new Nightfall strikes and a new Flashpoint are available. You can find out what else to do here.
This week, Destiny 2 is taking it relatively easy. No new event and no new quest are awaiting you. For many, the week will likely revolve around the new exotic pulse rifle Bad Juju and its masterwork catalyst, as well as the tributes needed for it. That’s why we’ve summarized everything important about Bad Juju for you:

But what new things does this Destiny week have in store for the Guardians?
Nightfall strikes from July 16th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
These are the Nightfalls this week:
- A Garden World
- The Corrupted
- Tree of Probabilities

For Powerful Loot:
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
These modifiers are currently active in the Strike playlist and in heroic story missions:
- Void Singe
- Iron
- Heavyweight
Keep in mind that only the Singe element will remain active until the next reset. The other modifiers switch daily.
For Powerful Loot:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic strikes with the focus element corresponding to the active Singe element
Crucible, Gambit, Gambit Prime, Reckoning
In PvP you can play these modes:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Control
- Rumble
- Private Match
In Reckoning there are these modifiers:
- Solar Singe
- Slipstream
- Heavy
For Powerful Loot:
- Complete 5 Crucible matches
- Complete 3 Gambit matches
- Complete 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
You can earn additional Powerful Loot from the Vagabond. Complete the bounty “Get on with it” to do so.
Escalation Protocol
In the Escalation Protocol on Mars, there is a chance to earn the following weapon this week:
- the legendary IKELOS Sniper Rifle
Flashpoint, Werner/Benedict 99-400, Ada-1, Petra, Spider
The Flashpoint this week is located on Mercury. Complete this and the corresponding heroic adventure to receive 2 Powerful rewards.
At Werner/Benedict 99-40, there are 4 weekly bounties. For completing each individual bounty, you will receive a Powerful reward. However, if you complete all 4 tasks, you will receive an additional Powerful reward. Additionally, you can secure up to 3 more Powerful items in the Menagerie. However, you should have made corresponding upgrades to your Chalice of Opulence.
All 7 Powerful weapon shapes can be found at Ada-1.
Complete 20 random bounties and Ikora Rey will gift you a Powerful reward.
Hawthorne rewards you for collecting 5,000 Clan XP with a Powerful reward. More Powerful rewards can be earned for completing the bounties “A Troubling Affair,” “Strength of Memory,” “Stay Focused,” and “Restricted Blessing.”
Petra Venj can currently be found in the Rheasilvia area of the Dreaming City (3rd Curse Week). If you complete her mission, the daily 8 bounties, and the currently active 4th Ascendant Challenge, there is Powerful Loot for each of these tasks.
The Fallen trader Spider will grant you a Powerful reward if you complete his weekly bounty “Arcadia Concord“.
These are the Eververse’s Bright Dust highlights:
- the exotic emote “Popcorn”
- the multiplayer emote “Connection”
- the Titan helmet from the new Eververse set
- the Warlock class item from the new Eververse set
- an armor ornament for the Hunter chest piece Ophidia Spatha
- the exotic ship “Proteus”
- an exotic weapon ornament for MIDA Multi-Tool
