Today, on December 25th, the activities for Destiny 2 are rotating for the Weekly Reset. Highlights this week include the new Iron Banner. Additionally, there are bonuses on Valor points in the Crucible.
The Iron Banner starts today: Lord Saladin is back in the Tower and kicks off the first Iron Banner of Season 5. It is also the last Iron Banner of 2018.
The PvP event ends on January 1, 2019, at 6 PM. Matches will be played in a 6v6 format. Power levels are enabled.
As rewards, there is the Hand Cannon Crimil’s Dagger (with Outlaw and Zen Moment) and the Rocket Launcher Bear Roared (Homing Module and Fixer Pull).

These bonuses are active:
- From December 25th to 28th, you will earn double experience points
- From December 28th to January 1, 2019, you will earn triple Valor points in the Crucible
Last week, the Anbruch continues
Anbruch continues: This week, the Anbruch event continues. There’s still some time to grab the rewards. The event ends on January 1, 2019. This is the third and final week to celebrate Christmas in Destiny 2.

Nightfall Strikes from December 25th on PS4, Xbox One and PC
This week the three Nightfall Strikes are as follows:
- Guardians of Nothing
- The Pyramidion
- The Hollow Hideout

For Powerful Loot, you must:
- complete a Nightfall Strike
- successfully complete the Nightfall Strike with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
In the Heroic Story Missions and in the Vanguard Strikes, the following modifiers are active:
- Arc Logic
- Grounded: Damage taken while in the air is significantly increased
- Grenadier: Grenade abilities deal more damage and recharge faster
The Arc Logic element remains unchanged until the next reset. The other two modifiers are on daily rotation.
For Powerful Loot, you must:
- complete 3 Heroic Story Missions
- complete 3 Heroic Strikes with a focus on the same light element as a fireteam member
Crucible Activities and Gambit
In the Crucible you can look forward to the following modes:
- Quick Play
- Competitive
- Rumble
- Iron Banner
- Private Match
For Powerful Loot, you must:
- complete 5 Crucible matches
- complete 3 Gambit matches
Escalation Protocol
At the boss of the Escalation Protocol, you have the chance this week for the following three weapons:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary Submachine Gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Petra, Bounties
The Flashpoint is in the Tangled Shore. There you will also find a heroic adventure where you can earn a Powerful reward.
Eva Levante is at the Tower Bazaar area with Ikora. There, all those who participate in the Winter event “The Dawn” can claim a powerful weekly Engram.
At Ikora Rey you have to complete 20 Bounties. In return, a Powerful reward awaits you.
Hawthorne requires you to complete 5,000 Clan XP. However, you will receive a Powerful reward at the end. Additionally, she also offers the weekly Clan challenge “Summoning Ritual“. For each of these, there’s Powerful Loot.
The Nomad offers the weekly Bounty “In the Mill”. For a successful completion, there’s a Powerful reward.
Lord Saladin has 7 Bounties available, each rewarding you with a Powerful item.
Petra Venj can be found at the Pavilion in the “The Shore” area. There is a mission where you can earn a Powerful reward. You will also be rewarded with Powerful Loot for the Ascendant Challenge and the completion of 8 daily Bounties. This week, the 5th Ascendant Challenge is active.
At Spider you will receive the bounty “Arcadia Accord”. Master this, and a Powerful Loot awaits.
The Loadout for the Prestige Raid Tracks this week includes a kinetic Submachine Gun, any Energy weapon, and a Grenade Launcher in the Power slot. The modifier is Prism.
The Raid Challenge this week takes place in the Garden of Salvation.
In the Eververse you can find among other things:
- the helmet and gauntlets of the event armor sets
- the exotic ship “Far from Home”
- the exotic ghost “True North”
- the exotic sparrow “Burnout”
- a weapon ornament for the Skyburner’s Oath
