The Weekly Reset brings Guardians in Destiny 2 today, on September 22, fresh weekly activities, new Nightfall strikes, and a new Flashpoint. What else is there for the Guardians to do?
What’s happening in Destiny 2? Guardians really enjoyed the double loot in the Nightfall, which ends with today’s Weekly Reset.
This new Destiny week begins with the update 2.9.2.1, which brings some short maintenance. Once the patch is installed, you can jump into a new quest in honor of a deceased developer and earn 3x experience in Gambit.
Additionally, you should remember to get the rarest Exotic in the game before the release of the major Fall expansion Beyond Light. Bungie has also released brand new information in the form of a trailer about the expansion.
So, what else is planned for the Guardians in this new Destiny week?
The important information about weekly activities from September 22 to September 29.
These Nightfalls are available: In the regular Nightfall (Power level 820), these Nightfall strikes are:
- A Garden World
- Exodus Crash
- The Corrupted
In Nightfall: The Ordeal the strike is:
- Unknown Terrain
active.
For strikes and story missions these modifiers are active:
- Solar Burn
- Grounded
- Overload
Note that the burn modifier remains the same for the entire week. The other modifiers rotate daily.
Crucible: In PvP you can choose from these modes:
- Private Match (Core Playlist)
- Rumble (Core Playlist)
- Control (Core Playlist)
- Clash (Rotating Playlist)
- Breakthrough (Rotating Playlist)
- Elimination (Core Playlist)
- Survival (Core Playlist)
- Survival: Freelance (Core Playlist)
- Classic Mix (Core Playlist)
Showdown: The following modifiers are active:
- Void Burn
- Heavyweight
Escalation Protocol: The weapons of the Escalation Protocol are currently available with additional perks and mod slots during the Contact event and the Prophecy dungeon. However, the armor is still only obtainable through activity on Mars, but for some time now also in the “Armor 2.0” variant.

Petra Venj can currently be found (Curse Week 2) for a week right at the landing zone of the Dreaming City. Additionally, the 6th Ascendant Challenge is currently active.

Powerful loot in Destiny 2 is divided as follows: Powerful loot comes in several tiers, which grant you various power boosts. Accordingly, higher tiers also grant higher power boosts.
- Tier 1 (up to +3 above the current Power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 above the current Power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 above the current Power level)
- Peak Gear (+5 or more above the Power level. The only gear that goes over 1050 and up to a maximum of 1060)
For your information: Power levels gained through the new Artifact “Seed of Silver Wings” are not counted for calculating the power levels of your drops. The average of your gear and weapons is decisive here.
