In Destiny 2 today, on May 21st, is Weekly Reset. The weekly activities like Nightfall strikes or Flashpoint rotate, and there are new challenges. What else does the new week bring?
With today’s reset, a new week in the Destiny universe begins. Guardians on PC, however, will have to wait an hour longer. Today, the PC version of Destiny 2 receives Hotfix 2.2.2.2, and the PC servers will be down from 7 PM to 8 PM.
Starting today, diligent players have the chance to fully level the Masterwork Catalyst for the new exotic Pulse Rifle Perfected Outbreak and experience the weapon in its full strength. Because after the Void and Arc configuration, today the last step of the exotic ship quest in the mission “The Hour Zero” goes live – the Solar configuration.

Nightfall Strikes from May 21st on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
These are this week’s Nightfall Strikes:
- The Arms Dealer
- Savathûn’s Song
- Will of the Thousands
This activity requires a power level of at least 540 recommended by the game. Experienced teams can tackle the Nightfall with a lower power level as well.
If you’re looking for an additional challenge, you can customize the Nightfall Strikes using Xur’s challenge card. However, plan your loadout for this activity in advance, as equipment will be locked for the duration of a Nightfall Strike.

This is how to get Powerful Items from Nightfall Strikes:
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
The following modifiers are active in the Vanguard Strikes and heroic story missions:
- Arc Singe
- Blackout: Enemy attacks are significantly stronger and the radar is disabled
- Grenadier: Grenade abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
Note: The Singe element will not change until the next reset on May 28th. The other modifiers, however, change daily.
This is how to get Powerful Items from Strikes and heroic Missions:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic strikes with a focus on the same Light element as a member of your team
Crucible, Gambit, Reckoning
The following modes can be played in PvP this week:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Showdown
- Rumble
- Private Match
These modifiers are active in the Reckoning mode:
- Arc Singe
- Blackout
- Brute
This is how to get Powerful Items from PvP, Gambit, and the Reckoning:
- Play 5 Crucible matches
- Play 3 Gambit matches
- Play 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
The Wanderer offers weekly bounties for Gambit Prime as well as the quest “In the Mill” for regular Gambit, which he sweetens with a Powerful Item.
Escalation Protocol
If you still need weapons from the Escalation Protocol, you have a chance this week for
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary Submachine Gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Ada-1, Petra, Spider, Raid
The Flashpoint can be tackled this time in the Tangled Shore. You will also receive a Powerful reward for completing the marked heroic adventure there.
Ada-1 has all powerful weapon patterns ready for you.
For 20 random bounties, you can earn a Powerful reward from Ikora Rey. Loyal Vanguard supporters will also receive their weekly Loyalty Reward from her. Drifter followers receive this from the Wanderer.
If you collect 5,000 Clan XP this week, Hawthorne will also reward you generously. With her bounties “Which Witch?”, “All for one, one for all” and “Friends?” you can also earn additional powerful loot.
Petra Venj has settled this time (Curse Week 1) at the pavilion in the area “The Shore” of the Dreaming City. Complete her mission, the Ascendant Challenge, and 8 of her daily bounties, and you will receive Powerful loot for each of these tasks. This week, by the way, the 2nd Ascendant Challenge is live.
From Spider, you will receive the weekly bounty “Lootcaller“. As a reward, there is also a Powerful reward here.
The Raid Challenge takes place in the Royal Baths.

The highlights of the Eververse:
