In Destiny 2, the summer event continues. What other reasons does the action MMO offer to log in this week?
This is happening in Destiny 2: This week is rather quiet for Guardians. The Solstice of Heroes 2021 is in its 3rd round. So make use of the time to visit the event location, fish for elemental spheres for strong buffs, and upgrade your Solstice armor (featured image).
In a month, on August 24, the still unnamed Season 15 will finally start. Not much is known yet, but Bungie should learn 10 things to make the new chapter a success. The current season of the Splicer is not completely over yet. Here’s what you can expect today:
- In the Glass Vault, the raid challenge is now rotated and it starts over for the first time: In “Wait for it…” you may kill Wyverns during the encounter only once they start sacrificing themselves at the Conflux. It’s tricky, because if the sacrifice succeeds, you must wipe. As a reward, the challenge mode yields the time-lost weapon “Vision of Confluence”. Keep in mind that hard and normal mode share the loot.
- This week, there’s double the Infamy. Those who still need Gambit resets for seasonal challenges should get on it this week.
- No new seasonal challenges. For the remainder of Season 14 – until August 24 – you now have time to complete all 10 previous weeks. This secures you a lot of Glimmer, which you can then spend at will in the Eververse.

The Nightfall: The Hollowed sends you into the strike
- Warden of Nothing – In the Prison of Elders, the big Servitor awaits you.
The sniper rifle “Uzume RR4” is in the Nightfall loot pool. If you grind through the top tier, you can snag the better master version.
Playlist Strikes have the following modifiers:
- Arc Burn
- Wrecking Ball
- Grounded
As always, the elemental burn remains the same for a week, while the other modifiers rotate daily.
Crucible: Lord Shaxx sends you into these PvP modes:
- Private Match
- Rumble
- Control
- Elimination
- Glory Survival
- Glory Survival: Freelance
- Team Scorched
Petra Venj is located in the area “Rheasilvia”, the Dreaming City – maximum curse is active (Week 3). Additionally, you can prove yourself in the 1st Ascendant Challenge .

This is the new max level: In the Season of the Splicer , the maximum power level of your gear increases to 1,320. This is a rather small jump of only +10 (from the previous Season 13). This is meant to reduce the annoying grind, and if you worked hard in Season 13, you only need to play the top activities to level up.
