In Destiny 2, today, December 18th, is Weekly Reset. The 3rd Forge of the Black Armory is now live. Additionally, new activities and challenges await the Guardians. But what are the 3 Nightfall strikes? And where is the Flashpoint?
What does the new week hold for the Guardians? With a slight maintenance-related delay, the new week in the world of Destiny 2 has begun. After downloading and installing the Update 2.1.3 and with maintenance finally over, Annual Pass owners can now seek out and ignite the third Forge of the Black Armory.

Additionally, the Dawning event is entering its 2nd week. Guardians can continue to hone their baking skills. All important information can be found here:

By the way, the Curse of the Dreaming City is now rotating into the third cycle week. Guardians can tackle the Broken Throne and have the chance to earn the exotic bow Wishender. The chances of obtaining the Service Imperative quest are also the highest this week.
How to get the Veteran Reward in Destiny 2
If you are looking for your Hunter Veteran package – since Update 2.1.3 you can get it from Zavala. All Guardians who played Forsaken before October 16 will receive this gift.
If you are eligible to receive it but cannot find the package, fly to orbit and then back to the Tower.
Nightfall strikes from December 18 on PS4, Xbox One and PC
This week’s three Nightfall strikes are as follows:
- Estranged Terrain
- The Arms Dealer
- The Hollowed Hideout
Your Guardian should have a power level of 540 for the Nightfall strikes. You can make individual adjustments based on various modifiers via the challenge card. Please note that your equipment will be locked during the Nightfall strike. Choose wisely.

Here’s how to get powerful loot:
- Complete a Nightfall strike
- Complete the Nightfall strike with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
In the heroic story missions you’ll encounter these modifiers:
- Void Singe
- Glass: Health and shields are reduced by half, but recovery is twice as fast
- Heavyweight: Power weapons deal more damage and more ammunition is available
In the Strike Playlist the modifiers are identical. The singe element does not change until the next reset. The other two modifiers rotate daily.

- Complete 3 heroic strikes with a focus on the same light element as a team member
Crucible Activities and Gambit
In the Crucible you can look forward to the following modes:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Rumble
- Mayhem
- Private Match

- Complete 3 Gambit matches
Escalation Protocol
At the end boss of the Escalation Protocol, you have a chance this week to earn:
- the legendary sniper rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.
Flashpoint, Petra, Bounties
You can find the Flashpoint on Nessus. There, you can also undertake a heroic adventure that rewards you with a powerful bounty.
Eva Levante has set up her stand near Ikora in the Bazaar area of the Tower. If you haven’t participated in the Dawning event yet, you should visit Eva there. Besides welcome gifts, there’s the first quest of the winter festival for you. You can also earn a powerful weekly engram there.
Ikora Rey requires you to complete 20 bounties and rewards you in return with powerful loot.
With Hawthorne, you need to earn 5,000 XP for your clan. For this, there’s a powerful reward. Clans can also pick up the weekly raid challenges “Strength of Memory” and “Stay Vigilant”. If you master these challenges, there’s a powerful reward for each.
With the Wanderer, you receive the weekly bounty “Get Moving”. If you complete the bounty, a powerful reward awaits.
Petra Venj is located in the area of Rheasilvia. There is a mission where you can earn a powerful reward. For the Ascendant Challenge and the 8 daily bounties, you will receive two additional powerful engrams. This week is also the 4th Ascendant Challenge.
With Spider you get the bounty “Grave Tide Summoner“. For a successful completion, there’s a powerful reward.
The Loadout for the Prestige Raid Breaches consists of a kinetic pistol, a scout rifle in the energy slot, and a sword as a power weapon. The modifier is Gladiator.
The Raid Challenge can be completed this week in the Royal Baths.
In the Eververse you can find among other things:
- the leg armor and chest armor of the event armor sets
- the exotic emote “Protect the Teammate”
- an armor ornament for the Hunter helmet Enemy Finder
- a weapon ornament for the SUROS Regime
- a weapon ornament for One Thousand Voices
