Today, on August 11th, it is time for the Weekly Reset in Destiny 2 This brings Guardians new weekly challenges, Nightfall strikes, and a fresh Flashpoint. Additionally, the event Solstice of Heroes begins. But what else is there for Guardians to do?
What’s going on in Destiny 2? With today’s reset, the summer event “Solstice of Heroes” starts, where Guardians can earn a unique armor set that can be upgraded in multiple stages.

These Nightfalls are available: In the regular Nightfall (Power level 820), you can choose from these Nightfall strikes:
- A Garden World
- Tree of Probabilities
- The Corrupted
In Nightfall: The Trial by Fire the strike is:
- Alien Terrain
active.
In strikes and story missions these modifiers are active:
- Solar Singe
- Grounded
- Brawler
Note that the Singe modifier remains the same for the entire week. The other modifiers rotate daily.
Crucible: In PvP, you can choose from these modes:
- Private Match (Core Playlist)
- Rumble (Core Playlist)
- Control (Core Playlist)
- Dynamic Control (Rotation Playlist)
- Countdown (Rotation Playlist)
- Elimination (Core Playlist)
- Survival (Core Playlist)
- Survival: Freelance (Core Playlist)
- Classic Mix (Core Playlist)
Cleanup: The following modifiers are active:
- Void Singe
- Brawler
Escalation Protocol: In the current version with additional perks and mod slots, there are the weapons of the Escalation Protocol available at the Contact event and the Prophecy dungeon. The armor is still only available through the activity on Mars, but for some time now also in the “Armor 2.0” variant.

Petra Venj can currently be found (Curse Week 2) for one week directly at the landing zone of the Dreaming City. Additionally, the 6th Ascendant Challenge is active

Here’s how Powerful Loot is structured in Destiny 2: Powerful Loot is available in several tiers, which grant you various power boosts. Accordingly, higher tiers also grant higher power boosts.
- Tier 1 (up to +3 over the current power level)
- Tier 2 (up to +4 over the current power level)
- Tier 3 (up to +5 over the current power level)
- Gambit Gear (+5 or more over the power level. The only gear that goes above 1050 and up to a maximum of 1060)
For your information: Power levels gained from the new Artifact “Seed of the Silver Wings” are not considered in the calculation of the power levels of your drops. Here, the average of gear and weapons is decisive.
