In Destiny 2 today, on 11th June, the Weekly Reset takes place. A new boss appears in the Menagerie and the quest for the Truth is now live. Moreover, the weekly activities and challenges such as the Flashpoint and the Nightfall Strikes are rotating..
The Season of Opulence enters its second week with today’s reset. You now have more opportunities than ever to advance your Power Level towards the Level Cap.
With the reset, the quest for the exotic rocket launcher Truth has also begun. It starts in the Menagerie, the new pinnacle activity for 6 players, where you need to defeat the Beast of the Week (likely the final boss).
There is also something happening in the Menagerie today. After the massive Vex Minotaur Hasapiko, a new boss is up next. Nightfall Strikes from 11th June on PS4, Xbox One and PC
The Nightfall Strikes this week are:
- Guardians of Nothing
- The Pyramidion
- The Hollowed Hideout

Here’s how to get powerful loot:
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
These are the modifiers in the Vanguard Strikes and in the heroic story missions:
- Arc Burn
- Blackout: Enemy melee attacks are significantly stronger and the radar is disabled
- Grenadier: Grenade abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
The burn element remains active until the next reset; everything else rotates daily.
Here’s how to get powerful loot:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic strikes with the focus element corresponding to the active burn element
Crucible, Gambit, Reckoning
This week in PvP:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Showdown
- Rumble
- Private Match
These are the modifiers in Reckoning:
- Arc Burn
- Blackout: Enemy melee attacks are significantly stronger and the radar is disabled
- Grenadier: Grenade abilities deal more damage and recharge much faster
Here’s how to get powerful loot:
- Participate in 5 Crucible matches
- Participate in 3 Gambit matches
- Participate in 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
With the Wanderer you can earn powerful loot by completing the bounty “In the Mill” in regular Gambit mode.
Escalation Protocol
This week, the Escalation Protocol rewards you with a chance for the following weapon:
- the legendary sniper rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Werner/Benedict 99-400, Ada-1, Petra, Spider
The Flashpoint on Titan and the associated heroic adventure reward you both with powerful items.
In Werner/Benedict 90-40, you receive four weekly bounties, all of which reward you with a powerful engram. You can get more powerful loot when you complete all four of them and in the Menagerie – when you upgrade your Chalice of Opulence accordingly.
Ada-1 offers all powerful weapon forms of the Black Armory in her inventory.
Complete 20 bounties of any kind and Ikora Rey will reward you with a powerful bounty.
Gather 5,000 Clan XP, and you will also receive powerful loot from Hawthorne. If you also complete the bounties “A Fateful Affair”, “Strength of Memory”, “All for One, One for All” and “Perfect Victory”, you will receive another powerful bounty.
Petra Venj is now (Curse Week 1) at the Pavilion in the area “The Shore”. Complete her mission, the Ascendant Challenge, and 8 of her Daily Bounties, and you will be rewarded with a powerful bounty for each of these tasks. Currently, the 5th Ascendant Challenge is active.
If you want powerful loot from Spider, you need to master his weekly bounty “The Eye in the Darkness“.
The Glimmer Highlights in Eververse:
- the exotic ship “Transpose JT-24-X”
- the chest piece from the new Eververse set
- a weapon ornament for the Borealis
- the exotic ship “Heart Queen”
