What’s happening this week: Today, Tuesday, November 8, the Halloween event in Destiny 2 ends, along with the flood of candies you’ve received so far. So it’s time to brush your teeth and explore the new things of the week.
Those who do so might experience a little surprise in the coming weeks. At the end of October, dataminers discovered a secret community event in the current Season 18 of Destiny 2. However, it’s still unclear when it will go online. MeinMMO will keep you updated on this.
Otherwise, expect the much-anticipated Crucible weapon nerf for two overly powerful weapons this evening:

Strike: Twilight – The Trial by Fire
The Twilight: The Trial by Fire is the strike:
- The Devil’s Lair, in the Cosmodrome
- The Fallen are rampaging there again. Load your shotguns, pack your Gjallarhorn, and put an end to the Fallen God “Sepiks Prime.”
This is the Nightfall weapon of the week: As a reward for your run, you always receive a special Nightfall weapon.
Playlist strikes have the following modifiers this week:
- Arc Scorch
- Stasis Burn
- Iron
- The Scorch modifier accompanies you all week, while the others change daily.
Endgame: Raid Challenges and Dungeon Rotation
What’s happening in the raid “King’s Fall”:
In the current raid “King’s Fall” you can face the shrieking ogre, the third raid challenge.
- To specifically complete the challenge “Dazed Glance”, it comes down to the two “Glance Bearers” or also “Rage Drawers.” The one who initially attracted the rage of Golgoroth must be in one of the reclaimed Light pools with the remaining team that’s dealing damage. Only then can the second player sneak behind Golgoroth and fire at the yellow hit point to reclaim the ogre’s gaze.
You can expect the following raid requirements and challenges:
- In normal mode, completing a challenge grants you double loot.
- The requirement for each encounter for Grandmasters is a power level of 1600 with Champions.
- Only from the Grandmaster raid do you get status-specific armors and master weapons.
- You can also earn the new raid-exclusive exotic cosmetics in the Oryx design from the Grandmaster.
You can earn additional top rewards from the endgame:
- In the raid “Garden of Salvation” on the Moon
- As well as in the 30th Anniversary Bungie DLC dungeon “Shroud of Acquisition”
