In Destiny 2 today, on August 7th, the Weekly Reset occurs again. With the weekly reset, new activities such as the Nightfall strike or the Flashpoint can now be played. The weekly Crucible playlist is also rotating again.
The new week begins with a highlight: Simultaneously with the Weekly Reset, Bungie’s Combat live stream starts today, August 7th, 2018, at 7 PM.
There, the eagerly awaited updates to the weapon system and the sandbox of Destiny 2: Forsaken will finally be presented in detail. You can follow the stream today here on Mein MMO. As always, we will be live-tweeting for you.

But let’s see what else this week has to offer.
Nightfall starting August 7th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
This week, the Nightfall is “Will of the Thousands”.
Until the next reset on August 14th, you have the chance for the following exclusive Nightfall reward: “Worm God Incarnation” teleport effect
No modifiers are active in the normal Nightfall!
In Prestige mode, you must activate the modifiers via the challenge cards. These cards drop for DLC owners in the normal and the Prestige mode of the Nightfall. Don’t forget that you can upgrade your challenge cards with Xur again starting Friday.
The following challenges need to be completed:
- Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths
- Three and out: Stun Xol 3 times with the Valkyrie
Heroic Strike Modifiers
The respective scorching modifier remains active until the next reset. The other two modifiers change daily. Currently, the following modifiers are active in the heroic strike playlist:
- Void Scorch: Void damage from all sources is slightly increased
- Glass: Health and shields are reduced by half, but recovery is twice as fast
- Heavyweight: Power weapons deal more damage and more ammunition is available

Flashpoint, Raid Challenge, Treasure Maps, Meditations
The Flashpoint is this week on Mars. Here, you must master public events.
Cayde-6 has Hellas Basin treasure maps ready for you.
Ikora Rey offers meditations for the missions “Six”, “Sacrilege”, “A Garden World”, and “Strange Terrain”.
This time the raid challenge takes place in the Circus.
Crucible
This week, the Witch’s Cauldron is active in the weekly Crucible playlist.
Escalation Protocol
If the previous rotation is maintained, you have the chance this week at the final boss of the Escalation Protocol for the following three weapons:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary Submachine Gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
