In Destiny 2 today, on 06/04, is the Weekly Reset. This marks the start of Season 7. What new weekly activities and challenges await the Guardians? Where is the Flashpoint and what are the new Nightfall strikes?
That’s why the Weekly Reset is particularly special today: After downloading and installing Update 2.5.0.1 and a multi-hour maintenance, it is finally time – the new season of Destiny 2, the Season of Opulence, has started.

What else does the first week of Season 7 have to offer the Guardians?
Nightfall strikes from 06/04 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
The following Nightfall strikes are available to you:
- A Garden World
- The Corrupted
- The Arms Dealer

Here’s how to get powerful loot:
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
The modifiers for the Vanguard Strikes and the heroic story missions are:
- Void Singe
- Iron: Enemies have more health and do not flinch when taking damage
- Heavyweight: Power weapons deal more damage and more ammunition is available
The Singe element remains active throughout the week. The other two modifiers change daily.
Here’s how to get powerful loot:
- Complete 3 heroic story missions
- Complete 3 heroic strikes with a focus of the same Light element as a member of your fireteam
Crucible, Gambit, Reckoning
In the following PvP modes, you can have fun this week:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Flashpoint
- Rumble
- Private match
The modifiers for Reckoning are:
- Solar Singe
- Recoil
- Heavyweight
Here’s how to get powerful loot:
- Play 5 Crucible matches
- Play 3 Gambit matches
- Play 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
The Wanderer offers you weekly loot runs for Gambit Prime as well as the bounty “Get on with it” for regular Gambit. Complete this bounty to receive a powerful reward.
Escalation Protocol
This weapon can be earned in the Escalation Protocol on Mars until the next reset:
- the legendary submachine gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Benedict 90-44, Ada-1, Petra, Spider, Raid
The Flashpoint and the heroic adventure marked there, both reward you with powerful loot, can be found on Nessus.
Make sure to stop by Benedict 90-44, the previous raid vendor. He has the first quest of Season 7. However, be aware that his position in the Tower has changed. He is now located in the new area near the Wanderer and Ada-1. This is marked with a quest marker.
Ada-1 has all seven powerful weapon forms for you.
For 20 random successfully completed bounties, you will receive a powerful reward from Ikora Rey.
Upon reaching 5,000 Clan XP, you will receive a powerful prize from Hawthorne. Complete her bounty “A Fateful Affair” and she will reward you with powerful loot for this quest.
Petra Venj can be found at the beginning of Season 7 (Curse Week 3) in the Rheasilvia area of the Dreaming City. Complete her mission and the 8 daily bounties, and the 4th Ascendant Challenge for powerful loot. Additionally, during this week you can also tackle the Broken Throne.
At Spider you will receive the weekly bounty “Bloodsplitting.” Master this bounty and you will receive powerful loot.
The new raid: At 1 AM on June 5th, the new raid “Crown of Sorrow” will open its gates and the race for the World-First title begins.
Keep in mind: Starting with Season 7, there will be a special quest that allows players to quickly reach a Power Level of 690. According to Bungie, all players must complete this quest before they can participate in the raid. You will receive it from Benedict 90-44 in the Tower.
