In Destiny 2 today, on April 2nd, it’s Weekly Reset. The weekly activities are rotating. The Nightfall strikes are changing, there are fresh challenges, and the Flashpoint is new as well. What else is there to do for the Guardians?
This week brings: A new week begins in Destiny 2, though a bit later than usual. Due to the time change, the weekly reset will now be at 7:00 PM.
The new week also brings a change for the Guardians. Gambit Prime can now be played in private matches. Furthermore, all Prime maps are now available.
Additionally, the Curse of the Forsaken is rotating into its third week. If you want to play the Shattered Throne or obtain the exotic bow Wishender you have the opportunity to do so this week.
Nightfall Strikes from April 2nd on PS4, Xbox One and PC
In the Nightfall, you can choose between the following three Nightfall strikes:
- Guardians of Nothing
- Terminus of Insight
- Exodus Crash
A power level of 540 is recommended, but you can manage it below that with a group. You can modify your experience with modifiers from the challenge card as needed. Keep in mind that your loadout will be locked for the duration of the Nightfall.
Here’s an overview of the Nightfall-specific rewards that one can receive exclusively from Nightfall strikes with some luck
To earn Powerful rewards from Nightfall strikes, you must:
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Master a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
The modifiers for the Vanguard Strikes and heroic Story Missions are identical. The following modifiers are currently active:
- Void Singe
- Iron: Enemies have more health and do not flinch from damage
- Heavyweight: Power weapons deal more damage and more ammunition is available
The Singe element will remain unchanged until the next Weekly Reset. The other modifiers, however, rotate daily.
To earn Powerful rewards from Strikes and heroic Missions, you must:
- Complete 3 heroic Story Missions
- Complete 3 heroic Strikes with a focus of the same Light element as a member of your fireteam
Crucible, Gambit, Reckoning
In PvP this week, you can choose between the following modes:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Breakthrough
- Rumble
- Private Match
These are the modifiers in Reckoning:
- Solar Singe
- Momentum
- Heavyweight
To earn Powerful rewards from PvP, Gambit, and Reckoning, you must:
- Play 5 Crucible matches
- Play 3 Gambit matches
- Play 4 Gambit Prime matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
The Drifter can be found in the Tower annex. There you’ll receive weekly bounties for Gambit Prime as well as “Get on With It” for the regular Gambit mode. In return, you will be rewarded with powerful loot.
Escalation Protocol
This week at the Escalation Protocol on Mars, you have the chance to obtain the following weapon:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Ada-1, Petra, Spider, Raid
The Flashpoint is this week in the Tangled Shore of the Reef. If you complete the marked heroic adventure there, you’ll receive additional Powerful loot.
Ada-1 offers Powerful weapon frames for the Pulse Rifle, the Sword, and the Machine Gun.
Ikora Rey will give you a Powerful reward when you complete 20 bounties of any kind. You will also receive the Loyalty Reward if you choose the Vanguard. Otherwise, you must collect this reward from the Drifter.
Hawthorne will drop Powerful loot when you have collected 5000 Clan XP. She also has the bounties “Strength of Memory“, “Stay in Touch”, and “Friends?” available, with which you can earn additional Powerful rewards.
Petra Venj can be found in the Rheasilvia area of the Dreaming City. From her, you receive a mission with a Powerful reward. If you also complete the Ascendant Challenge and the 8 daily bounties, you’ll receive two additional Powerful rewards. Currently, the 1st Ascendant Challenge is active.
Spider offers the weekly bounty “Bloodsplatter “. If you complete this bounty, you will receive Powerful loot.
The Raid Challenge takes place in the Gardens of Desire.
The Loadout for the Prestige Raid encounters:
- a kinetic shotgun
- a auto rifle in the energy slot
- a rocket launcher in the power slot
- Modifier: Gladiator
The highlights of the Eververse:
- a weapon ornament for the Service Intrigue
- The gauntlets of the new armor sets
- the exotic ship “Rose and Bones”
- the exotic Sparrow “Skeleton Frame SL-19”
