In Destiny 2 it is time for the Weekly Reset. This will take place today, on July 23, at 7:00 PM, bringing Guardians new weekly activities and challenges along with the July Iron Banner. Additionally, you can spend your time with new Nightfall Strikes on a new Flashpoint planet.
This week, Iron Lord Saladin returns to the Tower and challenges the Guardians to compete against each other in the Iron Banner. For one week, Guardians have the chance to earn additional Powerful rewards and theme-inspired weapons and armor.
The Iron Banner begins on July 23 at 7:00 PM. You can participate for seven days, until July 30 at 7:00 PM. There is also a bonus on Valor points.
However, the current Iron Banner may be quite a challenge for many Guardians, as Bungie will not revise the Iron Banner armor quest and the overly powerful shotgun “Lord of Wolves,” until the next Iron Banner in August.

Nightfall Strikes starting July 23 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
These are the current Nightfalls:

- Savathun’s Song

Here’s how to receive Powerful rewards:
- Successfully complete a Nightfall
- Successfully complete a Nightfall with at least 100,000 points
Strikes and Story Missions
In the Vanguard Strikes and heroic Story Missions, the following modifiers are active:
- Arc Burn
- Blackout
- Grenadier
The burn element will remain unchanged until the next reset. The other modifiers will rotate daily.
Here’s how to receive Powerful rewards:
- Complete 3 heroic Story Missions
- Complete 3 heroic Strikes with the focus element that corresponds to the active burn element
Crucible, Gambit, Gambit Prime, Reckoning
The following modes can be played in PvP:
- Quickplay
- Competitive
- Iron Banner
- Rumble
- Private Match
These modifiers are active in Reckoning:
- Arc Burn
- Blackout
- Grenadier
Here’s how to receive Powerful rewards:
- Participate in 5 Crucible Matches
- Participate in 3 Gambit Matches
- Participate in 4 Gambit Prime Matches
- Successfully complete Reckoning runs (up to 100%)
- Participate in Iron Banner Matches and complete the Iron Banner bounties
With the Wanderer, you can earn an additional Powerful reward. Complete the bounty “In the Mill” for this.
Escalation Protocol
This week in Escalation Protocol on Mars, you might have a chance to obtain the following weapons:
- the legendary Sniper Rifle IKELOS_SSG_v1.0.1
- the legendary Shotgun IKELOS_SF_v1.0.1
- the legendary Submachine Gun IKELOS_MP_v1.0.1
Flashpoint, Werner/Benedict 99-40, Ada-1, Petra, Spider
By completing the Flashpoint on Nessus and the accompanying heroic adventure, you can earn 2 Powerful rewards.
Werner/Benedict 99-40 offers you 4 new bounties this week, each providing a Powerful reward. If you complete all 4 tasks, you will earn an additional Powerful reward. Additionally, there are up to 3 more Powerful items in the Menagerie. It is important that you have made corresponding upgrades to your Chalice of Opulence.
Ada-1 offers you all 7 Powerful weapon rolls.
For completing 20 random bounties, Ikora Rey will reward you with a Powerful reward.
If you manage to collect 5,000 Clan XP, Hawthorne will reward you with Powerful loot. You can also earn an additional Powerful reward for completing the bounties “Summoning Ritual,” “All for One, One for All,” “Perfect Victory,” and “A Pressing Affair.”
Petra Venj can be found this week (Curse Week 1) at the Pavilion in the area “The Shore.” If you complete her mission, the 8 daily bounties, and the current 5th Ascendant Challenge, you will receive a Powerful reward for each of these tasks.
For Spider, you can complete the weekly bounty “Burner-Valus” to secure a Powerful reward.
