On this Tuesday, another update for Destiny 2 is coming. MeinMMO tells you when the server downtime will take place and what updates to expect.
6:10 PM: The update is here and is 135.6 MB on PC. After you have downloaded it, you can log in for the new week and tackle the mission ‘Effort and Trouble’.
3:15 PM: Destiny 2 has just taken its servers down. The downtime will last until the weekly reset. We will keep you updated on the status of the update as always.
What you need to know today: Even after the quake at Bungie and Sony, work on Destiny 2 continues as usual.
- Players can expect the routine update number 7.2.5.2 today along with the associated server downtime.
- After the update, the final week of the Halloween event, “Festival of the Lost”, will take place. It ends with the weekly reset on November 7. You have time until then to collect all triumphs and secure the available rewards. Including the black leather memento that everyone in the game is currently craving.

Maintenance on October 31 – All Times for Server Downtime
These times are important today: Bungie informs its players via Twitter/X about the planned downtime. MeinMMO brings you this information with the downtime times for Germany so that you can better plan your personal gaming evening.
Here is the exact schedule for the maintenance:
- At 2:00 PM, background maintenance will start on all platforms.
- At around 3:15 PM, the servers will go offline. Players will be automatically kicked from the game.
- During the downtime, Bungie will release update 7.2.5.2. It will be rolled out gradually so that players on all platforms can download and install it.
- At 6:00 PM, everything is supposed to be back online, and you can try to log in again.
- The maintenance will continue in the background until 8:00 PM.
Additionally, maintenance may lead to login queues forming, as Bungie only gradually opens access to the servers to avoid problems from high server load. Therefore, you may have to wait longer until you are back in the game.
Also, be aware that third-party applications as well as the official companion app may also be unavailable for a while, so you cannot use them.
What changes with update 7.2.5.2 in season 22
This will be included in update 7.2.5.2: Bungie has a publicly accessible to-do list of things that are currently not functioning correctly in the game. This is actively influenced by Destiny 2 players by reporting bugs on the Bungie forum.
The following bugs are currently on this list:
- Sometimes killing Crota after his wipe timer expires will drop loot but not count as a completion of the raid.

- The resilience status provides damage resistance of the previous tier at a multiple of 10. However, 100 resilience correctly provides the intended benefit.
- Not to forget: name changes for players are not infinitely customizable via bungie.net. Several “Number-Guardians” are still waiting for the option to change their username again, instead of receiving the message ‘You have no name changes available.’
