In the MMO shooter Destiny 2, the Trials of the Nine start today, on 22nd September. Which map will be played, what is the mode?

Due to a glitch that was exploited, Bungie is changing the Trials on 22nd September.
Update 21:00: Bungie has now changed the Trials due to the issues to “Countdown on Eternity.” This is the same mode as last week. The change was apparently necessary because players cheated. They were able to glitch outside the intended combat area on the map “Altar of the Flame”.
In Destiny 1, it was exciting for PvP enthusiasts week by week to see which map the Trials would take place on. In Destiny 2, not only is there the question of the map, but also of the mode. There is no longer a “fixed Trials mode” (which used to be elimination); instead, the competitive PvP modes Countdown and Survival alternate.
The first Trials of the Nine ran a bit chaotically last week. At the start, nobody really knew if you had to buy a ticket for the Trials, what the access requirements were, and where to actually start them. Now we know:
- You must have completed the story campaign,
- mastered the “Call to Arms” milestone at least once
- and be over Power Level 260,
to have the Trials displayed in the Crucible overview. You do not need to buy a ticket. You have it automatically.
This week, the map “Altar of the Flame” is being played. Update: Due to a bug, the map has been changed. Players could leave the map. The new map is Eternity. The mode is Survival. Countdown.
What are the Trials of the Nine with the Survival mode?
This time, you will fight in the Trials in the mode “Survival”. This is a round-based PvP mode.
You compete in four-player teams against each other, with all four players per team sharing a certain number of lives. If a Guardian on your team is defeated, it costs you one life. If you defeat an opposing Guardian, it costs the opponent one life. The defeated Guardian respawns automatically after a few seconds. Reviving by teammates is not possible.
If all lives are exhausted, you can no longer respawn. If the team that has no lives left is completely defeated, a round is over. Win multiple rounds to decide the match.
After each match, you will receive “Trials of the Nine” tokens that you can exchange for Trials engrams with the vendor. In addition, you will receive additional rewards after 3, 5, and 7 victories. If you achieve a flawless run (7 wins without a loss), you can pick up an extra reward. If you have 3 losses on your ticket, you have to start over.
In the Trials of the Nine, there is no matchmaking. You have to assemble your team of 4 players yourself. Also, it is a “locked-loadout playlist.” This means you cannot change your weapons and armor parts until you leave the playlist.
