In a new trailer, the MMO shooter Destiny 2 presents the content of the upcoming Season of Dawn. An old hero appears who we apparently need to save.
What does the trailer show? In the first seconds of the trailer, everything revolves around chaos in the timeline. Psion Flayers are trying to rewrite the timeline to undo the victory against the Cabal Legion. How dare they, as Guardians battled hard for that victory in the original game Destiny 2.
The smallest planet, Mercury, seems to be hit hardest by the Vex attacks, which will play a significant role in the Season of Dawn. Our task is to travel through time using Osiris’ Sundial, to repair the timeline and save a legendary Guardian.
As it turns out, the Guardian in question is Saint-14, who, in the current timeline, is dead. As players, we already use his helmet and his Perfect Paradox shotgun.
The Russian Titan modestly refers to himself as the “Greatest Titan of all time,” which some readers of MeinMMO might have an issue with.

Season of Dawn brings new activities and new weapons
What does the Season of Dawn contain? In the trailer and also on the website for the new season, Bungie reveals much about the content of the new season. You can expect:
- The seasonal artifact: The Lantern of Osiris
- The seasonal armor set: Righteous
- The exotic scout rifle: Symmetry
- The new 6-player activity: Sundial
- New exotic quests
- New bounties
- New lore books
- Many additional rewards and season pass rewards
How long does the Season of Dawn run? The new season begins on December 10th and runs until March 9th. We have already told you what you can do now to prepare for Season 9.
But even in the current Season 8, not every story has been told yet.
What about the Trials? Many players hoped before the new Season of Dawn that the Trials, a weekly PvP event, could return.
While the speculations around Osiris were correct, there was nothing mentioned about the Trials in the trailer or on the website. However, there will be a developer livestream about the new season tomorrow, December 4th.
