We show you how to earn up to 8 additional percent discount daily from the Chalice of Calus in the Tribute Hall. This way, you will reach the maximum 80% discount faster.
What is this discount about? Do you want the new weapon exotic Bad Juju and the corresponding masterwork catalyst? Then you cannot avoid the Tribute Hall and the tributes themselves.

You can earn tributes through special Triumphs from the Tribute Hall or purchase them from the “Chalice of Calus” statue in the hall itself. However, these are quite expensive and require a lot of different planetary materials and currencies.
However, you can reduce the price for purchasable tributes by completing special bounties by up to 80%. You can do 4 bounties daily, each earning you an additional 1% discount.
Here’s how to get more than just 4% discount for the Tribute Hall – What you need to do
Regularly, a maximum increase of 4% is possible. However, some fans have reported lately that they could also get 6 or 8% per day when using multiple characters for the bounties. The results varied from player to player.
Some Guardians have analyzed the system behind this and have now figured out how to safely earn up to 8% additional discount daily. This is only possible with the help of the daily reset. By the way: as of now, it seems the daily maximum, even with multiple characters, is really set at 4%, if you play normally.
What you need for the trick:
- At least 2 characters
- You need to be able to play around the daily reset at 7:00 PM – just before and also after
Here’s what you need to do:
- Log in with your second character shortly before the daily reset at 7:00 PM (about 20-30 minutes prior) and grab the bounties from the previous day.
- Complete these bounties. It doesn’t matter whether you complete them before or after the reset – as long as they are the bounties from the previous day (before the reset). Important: Do not log out from this character before you have completed and redeemed them, or else the trick won’t work.
- Wait for the reset (if it hasn’t occurred yet) and now redeem the 4 bounties. You will receive 4x Blessing of Opulence.
- Now submit these 4 items at the Chalice of Calus in the Tribute Hall. You will receive 4% additional discount.
- Switch to your main character
- Grab the current 4 bounties (the 4 after the reset)
- These should still reward you with one Blessing of Opulence per bounty.
- Complete all 4 on your main character and redeem them for the reward.
- Now submit 4x Blessing of Opulence at the statue. You will gain another 4% progress – thus you have reduced the price by a total of 8 additional percent on that day.
- Repeat these steps the next day. Get the bounties from the previous day again with the second character before the reset, and so on. This way, you are guaranteed to receive an additional 8% discount on the purchasable tributes at the statue each day.
By the way: Even though many players hoped for it – more than 8% daily is not possible even with a third character. This is currently the absolute maximum that can be achieved daily. But even so, it already halves the time until the maximum discount.
