In Destiny 2, a Guardian has pulled off a fantastic melee attack that makes many Titans proud. Moreover, his reaction to it is being celebrated.
What happened? Currently, on Reddit, the Guardian Armatarium proudly presents his achievement he accomplished in PvP of Destiny 2. He has already gathered over 1200 upvotes, so his action is well received by a lot of players.
He himself writes that the community should take a moment of silence for the opposing team. He shared this video:
6 Kills with a single strike
You can see in the video: The Guardian is about to start a Iron Banner Control match in the Crucible. He immediately announces at the beginning that he will either get at least 5 kills at once – or die trying.
He sprints directly to the control zone that the opponents are capturing at the start.
He comes out from behind the wall, unleashes the melee attack of the Rocket Titan, and apparently surprises the entire opposing team. All 6 opponents are crouching in the control zone – and are obliterated in a single strike.
The Titan achieved 6 kills within the first 15 seconds of a PvP match with just one strike.
What kind of melee attack is this? It is the Ballistic Slam from the Arc Titan, which has the Rocket code activated. To perform it, one must jump into the air after sprinting and press the melee button to slam into the ground and deal damage to nearby enemies.
Guardians celebrate the reaction
This is what other Guardians write about it: “Epic”, “awesome” and “marvelous” are the adjectives thrown around in the comments. Such actions would make Titans proud, inciting “manly tears” in Titan’s eyes.
Especially the reaction of the Guardian and his team is celebrated:
While in midair, the Guardian takes a deep breath, as he sees that there are about to be 6 opponents, and he suspects that something special will happen soon.
This is also mentioned in the comments, that this deep breath makes the video so special. Armatarium responded, stating that his heart skipped a beat. He had been waiting for such a perfect slam for a long time.
Immediately after the 6 kills, the Guardian starts screaming. His teammates realize what has happened and join in the celebration.

It is also pointed out that this action was only possible because the opposing team apparently had a poor chief strategist. In most cases, it is not a good idea for 6 Guardians to be sitting in the same control zone.
And a user comments: “Epic … but is it okay if I complain that he didn’t capture the zone afterwards?”
