In Destiny 2 there are cool cosmetic items available for the Winter Event “The Dawning” that you can earn during the festival through the Eververse. We have highlighted the main features for you.
In Destiny 2, the holiday spirit will come with the Weekly Reset on December 11th. After Update 2.1.2, the Dawning Event will start, during which Guardians will celebrate the arrival of winter in the festively decorated and snowy Tower. The corresponding themed armor and festive items for your characters will not be missing.
Here are the coolest items from the Dawning offerings in the Eververse
During the Winter Festival, Guardians can look forward to numerous cosmetics that they can earn from the Dawning Engrams throughout the event. These will be available after reaching the maximum character level in addition to the Glimmer Engram at every level-up.
By the way, the Knock-Out system is in effect – that is, the exclusion principle. You will not pull any duplicates from the event engravings until you have earned all the new items. You have time from December 11, 2018, to January 1, 2019.
The Event Armors
Each of the three Guardian classes has been granted its own new event armor. These traditionally come in a blue and white color scheme.

The coolest emotes for the Dawning Event
Overall, Guardians have the chance to earn 5 emotes during the event – one of which is exotic. A sixth emote (exotic) can be purchased directly with real money.
Furthermore, three of the four legendary emotes are special new multiplayer emotes that synchronize specific movements like fist bumps or high fives with those of a partner.
Protecting teammates: In this emote, your Guardian first throws a hockey stick at the bow, then the gloves traditionally fly after it, and you challenge your opponent to a fistfight.
Fist Bump: In this multiplayer gesture, you perform a stylish fist bump with a buddy.
Chest Bump: In the Chest Bump, also one of the new multiplayer emotes, you jump with a friend breast to breast, just like in many sports celebrations.
High Five: This emote represents the well-known “Gimme five” high five with another Guardian.
Baking Cookies: The name of this exotic gesture, where you play through everything from stirring the dough to baking, is not yet known. However, it will only be available for silver, which is real money.
The best Ghost shells of the Winter Festival
For the duration of the Dawning Event, Tess Everis will have 11 new Ghost shells. Two of them are exotic and highlight the Ghost selection.
True North: This spiky ghost comes in the traditional Dawning paint job and features some nice particle effects.
Snowball: This ghost has a snowball appearance with antlers made of branches.
The coolest ships for Christmas
For the Winter Festival, there are 10 new ships in the Eververse that Guardians can earn. Two of them are exotic.
Joyful Tidings: This exotic ship is a festive reskin of the ship from the “Solstice of Heroes” event last summer.
Far From Home: This ship is also a familiar model, but this time with a cool festive paint job.
What about the cool event Sparrow?
The festive sled Sparrow, which you can see on the article’s title image, cannot be obtained through the Eververse.
You can earn the vehicle during the Dawning Event – just like the new heavy machine gun “Avalanche”.
