In Destiny 2 is the Twisted Tower Nightfall Strike for this week. Here are tips and tricks on how to master the Nightfall.
Actually, this week in Destiny 2, which started on October 10, the Prestige Raid was supposed to be available. However, it was postponed due to an exploit. All Guardians who were looking forward to this new PvE challenge may now fully focus on the “standard PvE content” – such as the weekly Nightfall Strike.
This time it is the Twisted Tower that is in the spotlight.
The modifiers and challenges in the Twisted Tower
The Twisted Tower is the strike that could be played during the beta of Destiny 2. Moreover, it was already a Nightfall in the second week after launch, where you had to jump through Vex portals to extend the mission timer.
Now the “Twisted Tower” Nightfall Strike has different modifiers:
- Friction: Health and shield regeneration are affected – you only regenerate your health points automatically after a long time. Eliminating enemies can create light sources. Collect these to restore health and recharge your supers.
- Time Loop: Stall Time: Defeat enemies to extend the mission timer. In normal mode, you start with 12 minutes, in prestige mode with 8.
The challenges in the Nightfall Strike:
- Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining.
- Complete the Nightfall with less than 3 deaths.
- The Bob is Lava: The fireteam must not be hit by Protheon’s fiery ground attacks.

Tips for the Nightfall Strike
Your goal is to eliminate as many enemies in a short time as possible. Both extra time and health points come from defeating enemies. This means you shouldn’t rush through the strike at breakneck speed with just three players but should also defeat the small enemies along the way. However, dawdling or spending too long on single enemies is not recommended. Here are a few tips:
- Bring at least one Warlock who can place the Healing Rift. This way, you can gain extra health.
- Also, you should choose focus and skill builds that allow you to achieve additional health regeneration, like the Sunbreaker Titan with the Code of the Siegebreaker. There are several options and combinations for this, including the Striker with the Unyielding Skullfort.
- For the final fight, bring a rocket launcher (save your power ammo until then) and Arc weapons against the Harpies.
- If you need to reset the transit system (the phase before the drill), it can be beneficial for one Guardian to sprint through and activate the mechanic immediately. The other two Guardians can defeat the adds before that.
- This also works with the final boss. One Guardian can rush through the drill to the final boss while the other two Guardians kill enemies and extend the time. The Guardian at the final boss then pulls his teammates in (ally joining).
- Unload your rockets, grenades, and super attacks on the boss in phase 1. Save some rockets for the last boss phase. You should clear the first phase quickly to avoid spending too long dealing with the Harpies.
- In Phase 2, you can stand on the sockets. They won’t become “lava”. Shoot the boss with kinetic weapons.
- In Phase 3, attack the boss with rockets as soon as he loses his head and becomes aggressive. Go all out now and defeat the enemy.

By the way: If you still need to complete the Rat King quest, this is a rather pleasant Nightfall. There have been tougher ones.
