Lunafaction Boots
The Warlock has access to two exotic boots. The first are the Lunafaction Boots and they come with this exotic perk:
- The Rift ability automatically reloads allies’ weapons (in addition to the normal effect)

The following build is recommended for the Lunafaction Boots:
- Focus – Stormcaller Warlock
- Build – Elemental Attunement
- Exotic Weapon – Coldheart / Merciless / Wardcliff Coil
The exotic perk states that allies’ weapons are reloaded automatically, in addition to the normal effect of the Rift. This sounds good at first, but unfortunately you have to leave the Rift and re-enter for the effect to take place. These boots are only really useful in boss fights with enough space for all Guardians.
Although the “stepping out” of the Rift is also triggered when you perform a double jump, with six Guardians in a Rift, there is a risk of getting each other’s rockets in the face.
By the way, the same effect as these boots is also achieved with the Titan’s Barricade. Use those, and the Warlocks in your team can equip a more useful exotic.
Transversive Steps
The Warlock needs ways to move faster. Titans have Dunewalkers, Hunters have ST4MP-F3R – and Warlocks have the exotic boots Transversive Steps:
- While sprinting, movement speed is increased and energy weapons are automatically reloaded

The Transversive Steps are universally usable, so we do not give a specific build recommendation. Specifically, the Transversive Steps increase your sprint speed by 5%. If you also have the MIDA Multi-Tool equipped, you will achieve the maximum increase in sprint speed of 10%.
The addition that energy ammo is reloaded sounds better than it is. Because the ammo is not fully reloaded but over time. With larger magazines like the Coldheart, this can take a while.
If you just want to move faster with your Warlock, you will be happy with these boots!
