Karnstein Armlets
The Karnstein Armlets are exotic gauntlets and bring the following intrinsic perk:
- Melee attacks grant health regeneration and ability energy

The Karnstein Armlets are suitable for any Warlock focus. Therefore, we do not limit ourselves to a specific build. In addition to health regeneration with every melee hit (not kill!), regardless of whether the melee is charged or not, the cooldown of all your abilities is reduced by 4 seconds per hit!
Exceptions are the Arcbolt and Firebolt grenades, which have a shorter cooldown and only yield 3 seconds.
How can the gauntlets be used effectively? The Stormcaller deals melee damage with their Super ability. If you activate your Super in the middle of a group of enemies, you heal continuously as long as you play as a Sith Lord.
If you play as a Voidwalker with the Hunger’s Edge skill tree, you now have one more way to heal yourself. With the increased grenade charge rate, you can continuously access the Devour effect.

But even Dawnblade Warlocks benefit greatly from the gauntlets. Without a doubt, the Karnstein Armlets are a powerful Exotic if you like to get up close to enemies.
Sunbracers
The Sunbracers are at first glance a thing for Dawnblade Warlocks. The exotic gauntlets come with the following perk:
- Increases the duration of Solar grenades and grants grenade energy on melee hits

We recommend the following build with these gauntlets:
- Focus – Dawnblade Warlock
- Build – Celestial Attunement
- Exotic Weapon – MIDA Multi-Tool
Let the Solar grenades rain down on your enemies. Because the perk Winged Sun allows you to hover in the air. Kills you perform while in the air regenerate your abilities. And when you come back down to the ground, you can reduce the grenade cooldown with melee hits.
Winters Guile
The exotic gloves Winters Guile are ideal for melee fighters, as the exotic perk shows:
- Defeating opponents with melee attacks increases melee damage

With the following build, you can get the most out of the gloves:
- Focus – Voidwalker Warlock
- Build – Hunger’s Edge
- Exotic Weapon – MIDA Multi-Tool
Winters Guile is perhaps one of the most underrated Exotics in the game. Because the gloves significantly increase your melee damage. If you kill an enemy with a melee attack, you deal increased damage for about 4 seconds. And this effect can stack up to 5 times! With a stack of 5, you can deal 3,000 damage to smaller enemies.
Players report that they completed the Throne Room at Calus entirely solo as a Voidwalker Warlock with Hunger’s Edge. Some Guardians already call Winters Guile the “melee Gjallarhorn.” With the MIDA in hand, you can move quickly from enemy to enemy. Just give it a try!
