In Destiny 2, players have collectively cracked the Empyrean Foundation. As a reward, there is a new cutscene to enjoy.
What event is it about? Currently, a community event is keeping players busy. In the Empyrean Foundation, Guardians have been donating resources since February 4 for the reconstruction and future of Destiny 2.
The community cracks the event: The event was divided into seven stages, and with each new stage, players had to provide more Fractaline. A total of 9.7 billion Fractaline are required to reach the community goal.
The final stage was completed on the morning of February 26. Thanks to their efforts and willingness to donate, Destiny players have cracked the Empyrean Foundation almost two weeks before the end of the season.
Empyrean Foundation rewards all players
Here’s what you get for completion: As we reported, players should temper their expectations for the event finale. These already announced rewards are now live:
- The Triumph “Torchbearer” can now be completed. This Triumph likely served as the final hurdle for many players to obtain the seasonal title “Savior”.
- You will receive the shader “Lighthouse Sun.” This gives your gear the yellow-golden Trials look.
To complete the reconstruction efforts and claim the rewards, it seems that at least 5000 Fractaline need to be donated.
A new cutscene is here: If you meet the conditions and go to the Tower Obelisk, you can start the quest “Worthy.” However, it is not a mission as suspected.
If you interact with the quest, a video starts in the game. Your Guardian lands on the Mercury Lighthouse. With the help of the seasonal artifact and the charged obelisks through Fractaline, you activate a massive beacon.

Is the event over? The Empyrean Foundation was officially completed, but you can still donate your collected Fractaline at the Tower. So if you still need some God-Rolls from the time-lost weapons, you have until the end of the season on March 9.
Bungie announced that they are working on some improvements for future events. Because donating can turn into quite a time sink.
What do you think of the end of the community event? At the same time as the conclusion of the Empyrean Foundation, an announcement brightened the hearts of PvP players:
